  1. That was surgically in-and-out to get Maduro. Successors to M. appear to be cooperating now. No invasions. Strategic talk to make him appear unpredictable to (chiefly) the Chinese. So-called establishment Republicans are peeved because he won't start open-ended wars like they did. There's better understanding when folks take him seriously versus literally. --- Glad that you're contributing in the forum. It's good to have fresh, intelligent opinions.
  2. Thread is shifted from the K-1 Case Progress subforum to the K-1 Process forum.
  3. Same here, to everyone, for keeping posts on a high plane despite the controversy of the issue.
  4. Here is our hilarious Sunday Official Weekly VAWA-Thread Joke: =========================================== THE BLONDE IN THE LIBRARY A blonde in a library approached the librarian and said, "I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, please!" The librarian responded, "You know that you're in a library, correct?" The blonde said, "Oh, sorry. [in a whisper] I'll have a cheeseburger and fries, please."
  5. Sean Hannity (whom I loathe but have to listen to sometimes) said that 0bummer did this with Bidementia, Bidementia did this with Kommie, and Kommie did this with Tampon Tim.
  6. Pres. Trump is a dealmaker, not a warmonger. I predict that this rhetoric is all calculated to reach a beneficial agreement of some kind.
  7. Thrilling Saturday non-ES report, see man: Our carcass hit the ES trail around half-past Many (2x2x2 +1) a.m., not bad man. After last ES, visited Mama T-B., 2 hours man. She's beginning to show signs of mental decline, big sigh man. However, she barbecued us for not attending properly to her financial/tax affairs, man. She's not wrong about that, probably suffer under deadline pressure later we man. Gassed T-B.-mobile at Costco, mere ounces remaining man. Returned to casa, all painted except for trim man. As we admired it, a car rolled up, "Did you get HOA approval for that color, man?", uh-oh man. We replied that Management Co. had approved it when HOA didn't respond within a month, truth man. Guy said, "I'm on the HOA Board, si man, and we never got a request, no man," si and no man. He further stated that no Board meeting is held in Manycember, state he man. "The Management Co. guy shouldn't have approved this, no man," state he man. "In our Manyvember meeting, we voted that no approvals would be done before January, no man," state he man. We silently wondered how the dickens we should have known about this, no Manyvember minutes man. We applied properly, followed up frequently, and relied on written approval, si man. He wants us to attend Thursday's meeting with copies of the approval, thus plan we man man. This sounds like an internal-process issue, conclude we man. This is not the typical "unapproved paint color" case, no man. Still, we are quite shaken by this, want no lawyers or hardball we man. Comments from all are solicited, please man. Breakfast/lunch/din-din (after Many [2+2+2] p.m.) was MTG, ingest we man. Somehow, a siesta was taken, exhausted we man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. Sunday is our LL, prepping for Two Guys week, and (sadly) prepping for HOA showdown, sigh man. Mama T-B. will be outraged when we report no progress with her stuff, sigh man. We were looking forward to showing ex-Mrs.-T-B. & Mini-B. the revised casa, wind out of our sails now man. And that was/is our thrilling Saturday, report we man.
  8. Saturday ES report, see man: We attended all Many (2+2+2) ESs, dependable we man. These were far more fruitful than were Friday's ESs, who can ever foresee this man. All but the Many'th (2+2th) ES yielded the take, see man: -- round silver dinger-bell for receiving attention = $1, deal man -- large Westclox wal-clock = $2 + half a buck, steal man -- 2 boxes Kleenex = $2, deal man -- 2 boxes Walgreens-brand Kleenex = $2, deal man -- T-shirt = $2, deal man Total = $Many ($2x2x2 +1 ) + half a buck
  9. Number of necks precised, si and see and Bro G man! Find an orthopedist or sports-medicine doc to diagnose it through range-of-motion tests and your concomitant pain levels, si man. Urge doc to inject you with meat-tenderizer, si man, with use of ultrasonographic guidance, crucial man. Blind injections MIGHT help but also might not help, personal experience man. Heat helps with range of motion but cold kills pain, si and sigh man. Oral prednisone is a wonder med but only on a VERY short-term basis, hose adrenal gland otherwise man. Regarding our shoulder (see recent rants), our P.T. lady noted inflamed deltoid muscle, either affecting or being affected by the subdeltoid bursa, conclude she man. She told us to see doc (orthopedist) for X-ray to see how much arthritis we were graced with, getting old sucks man. Doc said X-ray showed almost no arthritis, tested range of motion, and determined that the AC joint was hosing the deltoid, conclude he man. He used ultrasound and shot us with methylprednisolone + lidocaine + something else for (optimally) Many-month relief, so far excellent man. Report back, si man.
  10. How (1) reasonable and (2) achievable do you consider this? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Capture of Maduro and Avoiding Another Iraq Nation-Building Debacle The massive US military operation ordered by President Trump to apprehend former Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife from their heavily guarded residence was a game-changer for regional and global security. The Trump administration's next steps will be crucial to ending the threats from Maduro's criminal regime without repeating the disastrous nation-building effort in Iraq after the second Gulf War. 12. Thrilling Friday non-ES report, see man: Many'th (2+2th) consecutive day of record-high temperatures, Texas weather Many but sadly over now man. Breakfast/lunch was onecan of tuna, ingest we man. Timing is everything, si and man. We had just opened the lid and were preparing to consume the contents when the phone rang, si man. We had to take the call, important man. Miu (already well-fed) jumped on counter and became actively interested in the tuna, typical miu man. We had to juggle phone and tuna can while off-fending intensely interested miu, man. We ended up hastily ingesting the tuna over the sink at overhead level while off-fending aforementioned miu, such culinary ambiance man. We got our carcass on the ES trail well after Many (2x2x2 +2+1) a.m., quite suboptimal man. The first 2 ESs were in an area where we hadn't been in ages, nice change man. The Many'rd ES was WAY remote from that but run by our favorite ES people, worth going man. Sadly, the Many'rd ES was a resounding dud, oh well man. We did attend a very nice Aldi and rather deserted Mexican-oriented supermarket, everyone busy at work man. We then needed to retrieve Mini-B. from skool, wee man finished make-up Debate final early man. (Mini-B. scored Many [Many00 -2-2] -- si man, Many [Many00 -2-2], proud we man.) We first stopped by the casa, inspect progress we man. Crew had sided everything and had applied first paint coat to part of it, dazzling yellow man. This is going to look quite striking when all done, sadly not till Monday man. We were not too late in retrieving Mini-B., not-too-grumpy wee man man. For din-din, we gave him his choice of BK, Jack in the Box, or Subway, all active coupons man. Mini-B. chose Subway*, purchase we man. *WUOC, F$WM We took this provender to ex-Mrs.-T-B.'s casa, not there ex-she man and ingest Two Guys man. Orange mini-miu was thrilled to see his father and grandpa, thrilled orange mini-miu man. We then semi-dozed while Mini-B. gamed on the big TV screen, semi-doze we and game wee man man. We returned to our casa just before dark, crew just leaving man. We are quite impressed with the work so far, pleased we man. Serviced outraged miu, Where Were You Daddy And Why Is Service So Delayed miu man. Caught up on many e-mails and intensely desired a siesta, zzz-needing we man. Then Mama T-B. phoned, over half an hour man. Attempted brief siesta had not the faintest chance of success, no zzz we man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. Weather supposed to suck Saturday, cold wind rain man. (We hope that the casa-crew can paint, uncertain man.) We have itineraried Many (2+2+2) ESs for Saturday, far more proximal than Friday's man. We must also visit Mama T-B., usual duties man. And that was/is our thrilling Friday, report we man.
  13. Friday ES report, see man: We attended all Many (2+1) ESs, dependable we man. The second ES yielded the take, see man: -- 2 small white-painted plywood shelves = $2, deal man Total = $2
  14. Because perhaps it's really a groundhog hole, see man. The Groundhog-Day Song*, see man: *the only such, to our knowledge man [ahem, harrumph man] Oh, I put my foot in the ground-gopher's hole. The ground-gopher said, "Lord bless my soul! "Take it out! Take it out! Remove it! Remove it, si man!" So I took my foot from the ground-gopher's hole. The ground-gopher said, "Lord bless my soul! "Put it back! Put it back! Replace it, si man!" You are welcome in this rodential hole, and if you hang around and contribute enough, you'll get a official nickname, si man.
  15. May the fleas of a thousand camels infest your armpits, too, kind sir.
  16. Congratulations! A heavy weight indeed, for a long time. Glad it's gone.
  17. Good for you. Every (slow, painful) bit of progress is a gain.
  18. From a one-time Obama-supporting leftist, in an article cited by RealClearPolitics. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Democrats: What is Your List of Demands? [...] It's always the same story. 20. Scintillating Thursday repartee, yawn man. ------- Thrilling Thursday report, see man: Awakened by text from project manager wanting to know paint choices, choose we man. We chose bright yellow for siding, pop eyes man. We chose dark green for trim, pop eyes man. Casa crew sided east side of casa + chimney, intricate work man. They sided part of north side, last segment man. Original insulation in remarkably good shape, boon man. Miu wanted reassurance during banging, assure miu we man. They power-warshed west, south, & east sides, powerful stuff man. Saturday completion optimal but optimistic, Monday more realistic but who knows man. We hope that it doesn't rain, currently predicted Friday overnight with possible Saturday man. Lunch was onebag of nuked frozen mixed vegetables, ingest we man. Visited Mama T-B., needy senior she man. She got upset when unable to express herself, man. We finally pursued some calls/e-mails for her, mollified senior she man. Din-din was onecan of Dinty Moore beef stew, ingest we man. A wonderful after-dark siesta was taken, zzz we man. Meat-tenderized shoulder painful but probably consequent to injection, hopeful we man. No party with the rubias tonight, no cavort we man. We have itineraried Many (2+1) ESs, nothing within 2 Manyzen miles of us man. However, an Aldi and a legacy supermarket are proximal to that area, kill two birds we man. And it's a different ES-ing area than where we have been before, to our memory man. And that was/is our thrilling Thursday, report we man.
  21. That's because of all the, uh, ICE agents. Again, he's an ICE agent.
  22. "May the fleas of a thousand chimpanzees infest your armpits."
  23. I'm a Central Chimpanzee originally from Africa, but I got to Texas as fast as I could. Back to topic: The RGV has grown incredibly, and such things as medical care (hospitals, etc.) have improved markedly over the years.
