  1. The situation is different. Please post within your own thread (merged and moved to the Russia regional forum).
  2. It's best to take all originals to the interview for the consul to inspect. The consul can make copies there, if you need or want the originals back. Sincere sympathies. Provide what they need, and this should end the 221g status.
  3. Another thread has been moved from the K-1 forum, and it's merged with the existing thread on the topic. As outraging and stunning as a 221g is to receive, please remember to keep further questions within this current thread.
  4. A post and two posts quoting it have been removed. The removed post violates this provision of the site's Terms of Service: "Make comments in a Post either direct or implied toward another member that are purposely designed to upset, antagonize, make fun of, belittle, harass, insult, or otherwise instigate an argument that takes away from the personal enjoyment of the Service by other users." Avoid assuming a "tone of voice" that's not in evidence. If a post's tone disturbs you, imagine that its author has his arm around the person he's responding to and is speaking in a brotherly or kindly fashion. If the tone of the post then seems milder, you need not be concerned about it. VJ Moderation
  5. Dr. Jill Biden's main priority: Putting herself first as country flounders under Joe A few months after her husband took office, Jill Biden posted on social media a photo of herself sitting at a desk aboard Air Force One looking very important. "Prepping for the G7," she wrote on her @FLOTUS "US Government Official" account, under the photo in which a scholarly "Dr. Jill," wearing reading glasses, pen in hand, is studying a thick ring binder of notes. A flight jacket with the presidential seal is draped over the back of the chair, to leave you in no doubt about the power behind the throne. As the 72-year-old wife of the oldest president in history, the effrontery of this spousal usurper on her first overseas trip was a portent of liberties to come. 6. I saw one just the other day. I think GM made a mistake in discontinuing Pontiac.
  7. "'People with mental illness may be especially sensitive during this time.'" --- They probably saw Trump's profile (as Charles posted), and their TDS flared up.
  8. Wonderful. Unparalleled. Knowledgeable, proficient, timely. You most certainly made the right choice.
  9. Was the card to be sent to your attorney, or to you? If to the attorney, contact his office and ask them to look around to see if it's there. If not, maybe wait for one week, if you can stand it. If your attorney won't charge you to make the request on your behalf, he can do it. Otherwise, you're free to submit the request. No one can say for sure. The waiting is the hardest part, as everyone knows!
  10. Satisfactory answers are in the replies, above. ----- Old thread is now closed to further comment.
  11. You mean the groundhog, Y ma'am. Nice descriptive report.
  12. Please explain -- interesting. I had a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix and a 2007 Grand Prix, and in many ways the 2000 was better than the 2007.
  13. Mini-B.'s band got Superior ratings (scores of 2+2+2) in performance and sight-playing, superb man. The kids have also been invited to play the National Anthem at an Astros game in Manytember, amazing man. Ex-Mrs.-T-B. has already invited the Rojo to that game, excited ex-she man man. She would not buy us a ticket, man. We divorced well, obviously man.
  14. That's right. Hardly worth the repossession effort, and certainly not the destruction.
  15. Thread is moved from the K-1 Case Progress subforum to the Russia/Ukraine/Belarus regional forum, where related situations are often discussed.
  16. Kinda disappointing here. We were in the partial zone for (?) half an hour, and it's overcast. Glancing periodically at the sky for a half-second at a time (didn't have the special glasses), I noticed a crescent sun, showing its sliver on the left, and the crescent shifted to the bottom. It got a little dim, but if no one knew better, they'd have reasonably attributed it to the clouds. Researchers are interested in how animals will react, because there are few data. The three prevalent crepuscular critters here (active at dawn & dusk) are squirrels, mosquitoes, and cats. I saw no cats, saw one squirrel heading up a tree, and surprisingly wasn't eaten by mosquitoes -- this will come this evening. Cat T-B. (100% indoors) slept through the whole thing. During the last eclipse in 2017 or whenever, I was driving. It got darker than usual, and what light there was had a strange, intense glow to it. Next eclipse is supposed to be in 20 years...
  17. True. Some time back, I saw a construction vehicle crushing a Prius. That was satisfying.
  18. Anything remarkable or unremarkable to note about the total solar eclipse on 8 April 2024, post here.
  19. Maps show where trillions of cicadas will emerge in the U.S. this spring Trillions of periodical cicadas will emerge from the ground this spring, bringing with them their loud buzzing and molted exoskeletons. Here's where you will be able to see cicadas in the U.S. [...] https://www.yahoo.com/news/maps-show-where-trillions-cicadas-150715126.html
  20. Guy Destroys Car As It Gets Repossessed Car repossessions famously can be rather unpredictable. While some people just hand over the keys and admit defeat after they stop paying for a vehicle, others fly into a rage and genuinely believe the ride they don't technically own is being stolen. Then there's this car repo video where the guy just destroys the Pontiac Vibe tow truck drivers have been hunting down apparently for quite some time. The guy who does grab this long overdue, bank-owned hatchback is incredibly relaxed as he rolls in to get his tow boom in place under the front tires of the little Pontiac. But after he gets the thing in the air, it's obvious the "owner" is still inside and he's not going to give up without a fight. 22. Let us know how you choose to proceed, and how things work out. This thread may be helpful to others.
  23. If it's for visa pickup, it would seem to be her address. If services are unreliable, see if she can pick it up at the consulate, which some people do.
  24. Addendum: There's nothing in life quite like having to triumph over a consulate. It will be interesting to hear your analysis of your own emotional state (if you wish to provide it) as you begin to recover.
