Kinda disappointing here. We were in the partial zone for (?) half an hour, and it's overcast. Glancing periodically at the sky for a half-second at a time (didn't have the special glasses), I noticed a crescent sun, showing its sliver on the left, and the crescent shifted to the bottom. It got a little dim, but if no one knew better, they'd have reasonably attributed it to the clouds. Researchers are interested in how animals will react, because there are few data. The three prevalent crepuscular critters here (active at dawn & dusk) are squirrels, mosquitoes, and cats. I saw no cats, saw one squirrel heading up a tree, and surprisingly wasn't eaten by mosquitoes -- this will come this evening. Cat T-B. (100% indoors) slept through the whole thing. During the last eclipse in 2017 or whenever, I was driving. It got darker than usual, and what light there was had a strange, intense glow to it. Next eclipse is supposed to be in 20 years...
