So what is your current status?  Did you receive an NTA?

They would not deny a legitimate N400 because someone accidentally gave their old address.  There is going to be more to your story.

Harris County Texas does not require an SSN to get a marriage license.  We just got our license a few days ago with no issue.  Passport was all she needed.  She was asked if she has an SSN and said no, still got the license.

Hi guys. I really need some help please. I got married overseas a few years back, but it's only 2 months ago that my husband moved to the US after obtaining his IV through the US consulate. Yesterday, only two months after, he left his phone behind, and while he was at work, I checked his phone and found that he's active not only on 1 dating website but a few others! There was also a profile of a female offering s*x in some dating site that I am not familiar with and there was a 'mutual like' between his and her profile. I am feeling really down because this was my 2nd marriage and it took just two months and I feel like a total failure and felt really hurt. I spent around $15K on him while he lived overseas as he became broke after a certain period and I was forced to also pay for our trips at the times we met overseas. Is this a ground for an annulemnt? All I have are his dating profile photos and the few photos of half naked women in his phone, plus that s*x profile where they both likd each other. I heard annulment is tough to get, so should I just file for a divorce instead of an annulment to save myself the energy and the headach?

P.S. Since he just moved to the US, his green card hasn't even arrived yet. I chckd his case status and it shows the day when we paid for his card which as April 1st, the day he entered the US. I asked him to leave so he's no longer living in my house, but he sure is beginning me to take him back. He now claims that he's only there because I am on facebook lol and how does he know if I'm not talking to men on FB. Mind you that my Fb profile is closed and you can only see my profile photo there, the rest are not for the public and I also ahd our mutual photos on Fb, so I don't se where the logic is in what he claims since I put up our family photos while his own FB doesn't have one single photo of us.
What can I do now because I rally don't want him to get his g.c....

    1) Should I go to court tomorrow and immediately try to get annulment and servie it to him?
    2) an I contact USCIS and tell them not to send his g.c. to my address and explain why?
    3) Should I not do anything right now, wait for his g.c. to arrive and not give it to him but rather print the datign site evidence, write a statement, and send the g.c. with the evidence back to whichever USCIS?
    4) Will his 2 month living with me hurt his g.c. in the long run even if he manages to get his g.c. if it arrives soon?

What would be the best and most effective option for me? Again, after so many thousands of dollars lost, my 35-38 years wait time gone for thinking that I finally got married again, I really don't think he should be getting that card because I invested to much money and time into this relationship and helped him out with everything, and all I get is him on dating sites within two month...it could be even after he entered the US, but since I only discovered him a few days ago two month into our reunion as husband and wife, I am saying two month. Please help!!!

Blackbeekeeper reacted to SusieQQQ in What are our US Visa options?
It is slightly possible he might be able to get a seasonal H2B visa for that type of work. Some of those visas are currently banned so not sure if that is even a realistic option right now, even if construction qualifies. Your dad will have some hoops to jump through to be able to sponsor him. Main page here https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/temporary-workers/h-2b-temporary-non-agricultural-workers
Realistically he is probably not going to get any other type of work visa doing something like that, almost all work visas are for degreed professional jobs, specialized fields, etc.

Blackbeekeeper reacted to Sophie_ in Husband wont let me work, what can I do?
Hi folks, I'm writing this post desperate for advice or some encouragement.
I'm a k1 holder who is already married with my once fiance, I enter mid March and we send AOS in may for me and k2, I got my EAD last month and we are currently waiting for our interview.
We agree months before I would start working part time in the afternoons/nights once I recieve my combo card, he works morning till 4-5pm and since we share 2 kids it made sense this arrangement. I started working 3 weeks ago and since I'm waiting for my drivers license test (I have a permit which wont allow me to drive alone)he need to pick me up with the kids, yesterday night he told me he was tired of pick me up which I understand is late at night (10pm-11pm) but the complaint was more about how he was tired of waking up our oldest (6 years old) cause it was too hard and that we should leave him at home sleeping while he pick me up with our youngest (almost 2year old) I told him I was not comfortable with the idea of leaving him alone at home even tho he is sleeping and my job is fairly close home and that I could take an uber home so he wont have to pick me up with the kids,he keep insisting and I just started feeling some kind of way since our oldest is not biological his. Long story short I said I did not feel comfortable with leaving home alone and I didn't want to talk about the topic in that moment and he just started yelling at me an cussing me out in front our children, which sadly is not the first time, this continued thru the parking lot and even inside home when I was trying to put the kids in their beds, just yelling and cussing mocking me and how the work was done that there was no more work for me and that was it.
If you read this far, thank you, now the question is, what do I do? I am financially dependent on him I dont know anybody in the CA but his family members and before you tell me to go back to my home country we share a child together I can not take our kid out of the country without his permission, I was just barely starting to work my driving test is in 2 weeks, my work shift starts in the afternoon and I dont know what to do cause he is working and wont talk to me, am I wrong for not waiting to leave my 6 year old at home alone? Am overreacting?
I feel desperate, and deeply hurt. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Update time, filers!

We must remember that this week was a holiday in the USA (indigenous peoples day/Columbus Day), so we're down a full day!

That being said, March has had roughly 10% of cases approved now.

There were 56 extra RFEs added in the last 4 days. This week also saw 86 New approvals, bringing the total for March to 413.

I would be grateful and consider it a success if my fiancé got here before 2022. The Moroccan Embassy hasn't processed any K-1's since those with November 2019 NOA2's. I am looking at a very long wait.

Blackbeekeeper reacted to carmel34 in 11 month process for CR-1 with big age gap
My husband and I just finished the CR-1 process, and it was 11 months from filing to visa issuance, I just wanted to post our experience for the benefit of others.  This site has been so useful in the last year, I read relevant threads almost every day and the experiences of others were very informative in our process so I feel like it's time to post what we learned and our experience in getting approved.  I am the USC, older by 27 years, with other big differences like culture, language, education, income, many "red flags," so based on everything we read here we got married in Brazil and filed for a CR-1 spousal visa in July of 2018.  My husband wanted to work right away on arrival without the long wait for EAD which would have driven him crazy.  The entire process went smoothly, with no RFEs or other delays, we got assigned to TSC and the petition was approved after 7 months, then another 4 months to visa issuance for NVC and consulate stages.  Because of the big age gap we front-loaded with evidence of four visits and financial co-mingling, also a sample of our daily communications, email log, Facebook friendship, receipts, boarding passes, a few visit and wedding photos...  Then at the NVC stage we side-loaded more evidence of our three additional trips together since filing the petition.  I was concerned that because of the age gap, we would get more questions at the visa interview (I traveled to Brazil to be with my husband for his interview), but it was clear from the quick interview and very basic questions (when did you meet, how many visits to spend time together) that the CO had made a decision to approve his visa before the interview based on all the evidence submitted at both USCIS and NVC stages.  So the lesson learned that I would like to pass on to others who have concerns about an age gap or red flags in general, is to front-load and side-load lots of evidence of visits in person--we had a total of nine visits in an 18-month period, an average of one visit of about a week long every two months.  I was also concerned that the CO might ask about our language difference--I have learned a lot of Portuguese since we first met in November of 2017 but I'm far from fluent.  My husband's English is not good at all.  This was not even an issue at the interview.  The CO asked my husband questions in Portuguese and me in English, but the questions were not difficult, very easy.  So good luck to all of the other couples here on VJ who have a big age gap like ours--you can do it with no unusual delays and get approved in less than a year with evidence of visits to spend time together, at least it worked for us.  I'm not sure if Brazil is considered a high-fraud country like some are, but our experience overall was very positive.  The hardest part was the 7 month wait for the petition to be approved, and we made it work with visits to be together every two months.  Good luck everyone--whatever your situation I hope you will be together soon.  All the best to the Visa Journey family!  Reading your threads has been very very helpful.

It's too early to be worrying about biometrics for Adjustment of Status from K1.  Have your fiance file the K1 petition first.  Check out the K1 forum where there is lots and lots of information about filing the petition --

I must say I have been discouraged BUT I have been checking the uscis site for processing times and they are moving pretty fast. They are up to February 2020. I filed in March so I’m hoping to be moving to the next step within the next few months!
