They said the status updated 30 min after they mailed out the package, so it's impossible the renewal triggered anything.

With USCIS, like somebody said before, if they schedule you for an appointment please go unless you are incapacitated which is not the case here.
Rescheduling is a pain, you dont want delays and issues created because of this, trust me.
They take only a small amount of people, wear mask, social distance etc. if possible have your baby stay home with a trusted family member and go.
It sucks that your 2 year anniversary is close but don't take any chance, to be pushed away or maybe denied because they dont get your reschedule request on time.
The answer to 3 is you will get a 2 year GC if it is approved before the 2 year anniversary there is no gray on that. My GC was approved 2 weeks before our 2 year Anniversary and I got a 2 year GC so...
Answer to 1 and 4: cant tell with Covid everything is delayed and they take longer to answer requests

USCIS buildings ( as other government buildings) are way safer than say grocery stores. They do people by appointments, with temperature checks, social distancing and different doors for entrance and exit.

Received my Green Card in the mail today. After almost two years, my journey of waiting for my gc has come to an end. I have become a permanent resident od the US as of Dec 2,2020.

I wanna use this opportunity to wish all those waiting for their green card or EAD best of luck.
The process is frustrating but never give up on hope, for your moment will surely come.

I will still hang around and I know most of us will cross path in 3 years time if all things been possible.

Once again best of luck to those waiting.

So my green card arrived while we were away in Cancun having our second wedding 😁😁 Came back yesterday and used my travel permit. Officer at Philadelphia airport just asked when was I approved, and he even let me show him a screenshot from my phone. They let me in no problem right after that.
So happy to have my green card in hand now 🎉
    Best of luck to everyone.

We had GC interview today. Questions asked:
    How did you meet?
    When did you meet?

-and he started looking at the photo, and that was it. ☺️ It was approved in 5mins and received an update within the day that card is being produced! Goodluck to those who are still waiting. ☺️

Thank youuuuu, @Juls801.  It got approved. yayy.   It went pretty smooth. Bring your papers well organized, if you have prior passports bring them all. I did just to be on the safe side because the checklist I was using didn't request it, and the official who interviewed us asked for them. Be sure to have all your papers well organized so if they ask for something, you have it at hand. She basically asked how we met, when was the first time we met in person, she aske how was our wedding, if big or small.  And then they did the whole are you a terrorist, hooker, etc... we had a LOT OF DOCUMENTATION that I sent when I sent my AOS request, so I think that helped. At the end she requested the extra documentation of ongoing relationship we brought, handed it to her, she filed it (maaann was it a big file!) and then she told us she was going to recommend it got approved. she reminded us of lifting the conditions in two years, and that I could apply for citizenship afterwards.

the longest part was the wait ... we got to the office at 12ish and we didn't get interview until 1:45ish even though our appointment was at 12:45.

Been a member for a while now, but have not posted and wanted to provide some information about interpreters.

Just had our AOS interview at the NYC office and was approved on the spot. No real questions, just very casual conversation, and did not look or take at any of the documents we brought with us.
The reason we wanted to post is because we wanted to let everyone know that the NYC office does provide interpreters for the AOS interview. We had hired a chinese-engligh interpreter to be available via phone for our interview, however, after arriving at the office, we were notified that chinese(mandarin) interpreters are provided at the NYC office. Ultimately, an interpreter was not used, but we did want to let everyone know about this service. We also still recommend everyone to hire their own interpreter, just in case. This is a very important step in the process, and if you need an interpreter, just hire one. Don't rely on their interpreters.

Got my interview today. Officer asked us so so many questions, asked for pictures and evidence of bank account, insurance and any document with both our names. At the end she said she needed to look at my file and if she needed more evidence they would let me know within 90 days. Told her I was traveling tomorrow and she said to use travel permit and that if I get approved while away, won't have a problem coming back.
4 hours after interview, status changed to approved🎉🎉🎉.
    Good luck everyone!!!

    Hi All!

Just wanted to give you an update about my case:

Had my interview in Boston, MA yesterday Marriage based. We had our interview together (lawyer was not presented)

The only document they asked was my husband's 2019 Tax return and the interview notice letter

Questions to my husband: US Citizen
Spouse full name, date of birth, where she was born
What your spouse do for work
    where she works
    How she goes to work
Parents name (my husband did not remember that and said that was hard to pronounce the officer said that was not hard to pronounce - I thought he would put my case under review after that) lol
    How we met and when
If he had been to my country

    Question to me:
Spouse full name, date of birth, where he was born
If he had any relatives still living there
    Parent's name
    Where he works
    What he does for work
    Where the relationship got serious
If he proposed and how was that
    Who bought the rings
    Who attended the wedding
How my spouse used to go to work and details

    and the yes/no questions

The interview went well and took 20 minutes, by the end of the interview the officer said that he would approve the case and explained about the removal of condition I will have to apply in 2 years.

    Got approved today form I485/I130

    Hello everyone!

We filed for the AOS back in December of 2019. I see a lot of December 2019 and even early 2020 filers have already received their interviews and have even received their green cards. I was wondering if anyone in California filed around the same time as us and received their interview already. We live in the Orange County area so I think the field office would be in Santa Ana.

    Thank you!

Since ready for interview? That sucks so much. Soon it's a year for all of us since we applied. Never thought that would happen with my LFO.
I have days were I totally forget about it and then it suddenly hits me again and I'm like: oh yea, sucks.
