is there someone from France here who can give me an idea on when I can expect to receive my IL ?
    thank you 🙏😃

Look at the spreadsheet at the beginning of this thread, to have an idea how long it takes for France.

Here is email I got back in May 2018 from USCIS, saying that my petition is IR

“A systems check indicates your constituent’s petition has been upgraded to IR status. Once a petition has been upgraded, the processing time is approximately 90 – 120 days. Please advise your constituent that USCIS processing times do not necessarily reflect the availability of a Visa. As a general rule, we try to keep a minimum six-month buffer between adjudication and when a visa becomes available. You and your constituent may monitor our processing times, which are updated at least monthly, on the USCIS website at:

Only reason why I got to this stage of waiting for IL, because I was IR category.

Oh ok I am sorry , not too sure how to advise here. I was also upgraded in August 2019 and my visa category is showing IR1 on CEAC. Maybe it’s best to give them a call or enquire with your embassy.

on my CEAC login it says, VISA CLASS C21??

I thought I was IR-1, since I'm a US citizen? When I submitted my i-130 I was green holder in 2018, became USC Mar 2019. upgraded my petition to IR-1 In June..etc

why does it says VISA CLASS C21

I could be wrong but IR1 is when you have been married for 2 years or more and CR1 is less than 2 years. VJ family correct me if I am wrong?

    Hi there,

I also have my medical next week! Have you got a list of vaccinations which need to be done before seeing the approved physician?

I asked did ask when booking the medical but they told me they could tell me on the day. I assume this is so they can charge me for the missing ones on the day!

    Thanks

Please see the list above that was sent to me, it depends on your age.

Hep B and A aren't required for immigration for adults immigrating, and if you mean pneumococcal that one is only required in babies/young children and those over 65. Of course you can still get them if you would like to for personal reasons, but they aren't required for immigration for your age range I assume

Thank you so much @LilyJ, this is so helpful and just helped save money.

You may already have all or most of them; likely all that’s needed is seasonal flu shot, chicken pox, mmr (measles mumps rubella), and tdap (tetanus diphtheria) since required vaccines are based on age

I need to get flu shot, second shot of MMR, not too sure of tetanus need to check if I had it. I need 2 more shots of Hepatitis B, one more of Hepatitis A as the other one expired and something called menoco (sorry cant spell it).

When you call NVC, the agents tell you that they go by the last submission date.

Oh Goodness, if that is the case I may be stuck in NVC for 4 months. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see. Now I get it why so many couples quit this process. Ridiculous if only my hubby could have chose to immigrate to the UK , we would have been together by now. 😫😫. Thank you for advice everyone

  9. So I submitted my documents on 17 december, however on 1st jan i submitted another i864ez with Ink signature. Then today I submitted another police certificate that I wad able to obtain. Will they considered my first submission or would they take me back to the end of queue coz of those last submission I made. They haven’t reviewed any of them yet, it’s just me being paranoid and changing everyTime I hear someone got RFE

To be clearer, see the doc attached (Yes, I know, I'm a great artist as you can see). All documents are read by agents in the vertical way. So in the case of your passport, it is like shown on my beautiful drawing so that they don't have to tilt their heads or turn the document. 😉

Lol I like your drawing, it made me smile. I am not good at it. I will go to a local printer and have them resolve this.

They told us we didn't qualify, but wouldn't say why. I wouldn't panic though, I'm convinced it's due to us both living overseas until recently and my husband having recently changed jobs. I.e he submitted 2017 taxes,  and employment verification letter with pay stubs for 2019. then an exemption for 2018 due to being overseas.

Thank you for the advice @RPC , still a bit unsure on what to do. VJ is a good source of information but sometimes leaves us a bit confused. I’ll think about it

I’d agree with the above, @Jmeleecur, it would be safer to avoid the EZ, we qualified to use it but we’re asked to resubmit the regular i864, which has cost us, what looks like an additional 9 weeks.

I am worry now as I submitted i864ez, my document have not been reviewed yet. But I already had to upload another i864ez as my husband put electronic signature so we changed it to INK signature. But now I am scare after reading your comments, not sure if should change it again or just leave it😅😅😅😅

We withdrew our K1 petition in 2018 - submitted Sept 2017 when they were taking forever for K1 and our case was stuck in California. Similar, but not as bad as Nebraska. We got married in with the just the paperwork here. (Similar to a courthouse wedding)  No big wedding/reception. We were both completely exhausted from the dumb immigration process or lack there of and the entire issue with my son being newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (and all the stress that comes with no endocrinologists or doctors trained in juvenile diabetes in his entire country!) After a few months, the company that I work for sent me a notice that they weren’t able to accept my decision to stay here and they requested again that I go back or they would have to replace me. We hired an attorney because of the withdrawn K1. I thought it would be necessary to overcome the complication.

Then the disaster of Nebraska struck with our petition and here we are sitting at 2 months (after waiting since September to submit all the documents because police certificates in Cambodia expire after 3 months so we had to wait another month for the new certificate and a month for the attorney to actually work on our case) waiting for the review of our documents and the police certificate is going to expire again on Feb 3.

Why do I say this? I’m saying it because so many of us are going through the same or similar hell and we end up only looking at the ones that somehow get to go faster than everyone else. Nobody knows why certain petitions seem to get special treatment.

This site is sort of like social media, everyone posts when they have something exciting to say and not necessarily when things are difficult. I had to take a break from this site last year because it was becoming overwhelming.

I regret pulling our last petition, but I can’t say that pulling it again hasn’t been in my mind. I’m completely beaten by this process and it makes talking with my husband very difficult we have so many plans and ideas for our life and reuniting with my son, but we can’t do anything but sit and wait for our lives to pass in front of us. We save money and don’t spend much because we will leave it all behind if we get approved, so life is just a prison right now.

I’m so sorry that you’re going through this frustration, stress and anxiety, but know that you are far from alone!

I really appreciate your post and everyone who encouraged @Mr & Mrs T during this difficult time. Not everyone is experimenting the same thing. My husband filed in December 2017 when he was green card holder and he was naturalised in August 2019 . We got approved in September. In addition my son was under my petition as a derivative. However because we have upgraded our file to US Citizen, they have asked for a separate petition for my son. Now I will have to immigrate without my son . This has been so difficult for me and even explaining to my son who was excited to travel with me. The worst part is that my son’s file has been sent to Nebraska Service Center😭😭😭😭😭. Not everyone is having a great experience. You are definitely not alone. Tiens bon ca iras, essaye juste d’etre patient. Thank you for all your post. Congrats to all the DQ today.
