  1. Hey guys, I was DQ'd last week but got a message at the same time which said my wife does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants for this case. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. They also comment saying to avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 for a joint sponsor may be submitted. My wife was in medical school last 4 years and only started working this June as a resident. She submitted her contract with the hospital and pay stubs for the last 4 months but still wasn't enough. I was wondering if anyone had this same issue? Does anyone know if it will delay my interview if I do submit additional affidavits of support?
