you would have to prove to CO that both father and mother (this illegal) give permission for the 6 year old to be come to US?
Who would go to the embassy for an interview to show documents for a tourist visa?
who would meet child at airport ? an illegal US resident?
U do realize on any petition parent(s) name and address with US status would be needed? is this illegal mother willing to tell  ICE where she lives?

Illegals may have many benefits like a job,  DL in some states,  even a SS # but applying for a petition for a family member is not one of them/she's here illegally

As mentioned "The totality of circumstances" in your case is important
On  SSA you receive medicare and can not add him
your part time job would also not have full health benefits
So, it would have been up to u to show u researched health care providers in Ga and could afford his

That aside did u send the 1099 for SSA along with your W2 as otherwise the CO would have looked at AGI

Yeah, not sure why you don't just, as others have said, state your career/employment as "artist" or "digital creator" (for example). I certainly would NOT, if I was you, bring graphic samples of the work to the interview in any sense...some may disagree, but I certainly wouldn't want to get into a constitutional/moral argument during the interview process with a CO who may or may not be "offended" by the work, as it is just not worth the gamble. That said, if asked what type of work you do, say what you do: "artist." If asked what type of art, just be honest: "adult content for 18+" for example.

Also, you will have to discontinue your paid work until you receive your work authorization, which will give you time to study the rules/laws regarding the distribution of adult content in the United States.

In the US, creating images that some consider obscene or pornography, is completely legal and is protected by the 1st Amendment of the Constitution.  There are numerous court cases that confirm this, including the US Supreme Court.  A simple Google search will put your mind at ease about this.  Child pornography is illegal in the US and could get you in big trouble after you arrive, or could cause a denial of your K-1 visa.  If none of your digital images depict children you should be fine.  I suggest that you describe your work/career as a "digital art creator."  The officer doing the interview in Rio will most likely not even ask you about it.  They will be more concerned about the circumstances of how you met, how many times you have been together in person, ability of your petitioner to financially sponsor you, and your past US immigration/non-immigration visa applications/history, if any.

we say K1 is expensive as the cost to adjust status once in the US is costly, with fees going up April 1st;  the immigrant can not work or travel outside the US until the AP is approved /all this makes it harder to get SS # ,  DL ,,  add to bank  account

If the child is or was habitually resident in a Hague Convention country prior to the adoption and the adoption occurred on or after April 1, 2008, the two-year legal custody and physical residency period generally must be satisfied outside the United States in order for the Form I-130 to be approvable.

Got to be honest, I'm struggling to see why your lawyer suggested either the O visa or EB1 for you. I'm sure your ability is extraordinary in chess, but it has to be at a national/international level (so winning a state championship wouldn't be enough), the acclaim has to be sustained and you have to show that you will 'substantially benefit' the US in the future. I really don't mean to belittle what you've done, I certainly wouldn't be able to do it, but I'm not sure how playing chess to a high level would benefit the US.

    What does your lawyer suggest?

From what you've said, if you've never worked in any other job, then I don't think you have any other option. You're not likely to find an employer prepared to sponsor you if you don't have any/much work experience or specialist skills (in work), so I think your only option is to leave asap and then work your way back to the US in the future.

    Best of luck to you.
