  1. Even flying to Bahamas would affect an order to stay local and your disability claim/don't mess with it Remain faithful and keep communication open and fly to meet after the claim is settled Basically K1 or CR1 you face the same need(s) we all do to prove the relationship is real Meeting and time spent together to really know a person is a big factor for the Casa embassy for all couples Use the search bar above (on right ) and inquiry about other MENA countries and members going thru the process /I remember one one Benin and anther from Egypt / check their posts, timelines and embassy reviews
  2. its important to prove the Moroccan family agrees and supports the union especially his mom and u plan to fly to Bahamas??? why not Moroc? Back injury makes all u do hard but doesn't prevent flying Spouse visa or K1 will take about 18 +/- years so you can't hurry the process thru online marriage you plan to be out of military by then so him working will not be as important immigration does accept vetern's disability or SSDI but check the provety guideline limits for sponsorship
  3. Meet in Bahamas if he can secure a visa from the island for initial meeting them marry on a 2nd visit Casa does not like marrying on 1st visit
  4. Another thought Marriage on 1st visit is always a red flag for our high fraud country so the online marriage and meeting after is not a great idea
  5. Agree First thank u for your service don't try online marriage if u can not meet after and consummate the marriage in Morocco/that is a definite requirement Utah zoom is the marriage Immigration accepts that i know about you do need to meet without knowing how much annual time off u have (2.5 days per # of years in service) and where u r stationed, it may be, at this time, hard to get to Moroc U may need to continue the relationship as it and accumulate enough time to fly in and out of Moroc to meet in person to file the K1 I would think K1 is the best way to go for Moroc He can try for tourist visa to meet with u but they are difficult for a single man in moroc to get but its worth a try U say u met his family and he met yours ??? u mean online meetings? It still would be very important to have photos of u with Mroroccan family to show they approve of the relationship as it is for any K1 or CR1 at the Casa embassy I don't usually advise K1 over CR1 as the bene can not work till AOS which begs the question "Where are u stationed and how would he interview for the AOS process if not in the US? What branch of service? as it could mean u are stationed on ship or out of country? Even my Marine Corp son was deployed to a Navy ship and the wife could not go. As Military you need to think past the K1 issued visa and how u will handle the remaining process(es)
  6. very little info from the embassy site they do post this message /BTW the travel.state.gov site they post for updates says the site can not be found The U.S. Embassy in Amman is currently processing a limited number of immigrant visa cases. While the Embassy aims to process cases as soon as possible, there will be increased wait times due to a substantial backlog. For worldwide operating status updates please see travel.state.gov.
  7. i forgot 1 important thing Don't send him money/ his needs are taken care of
  8. he's 23 now and would have been 18+/- when he went in lack of any former education or job skills/ factory work may be possible if he can pass drug tests just be careful BTW my sister says many prisons make the inmate prove they have a job outside in order to get parole/ she works North Carolina as parole officer in prison most inmates learn the wrong things/ like how to better at crime / how to do ID theft is a popular subject in many US jails Sorry as i am not judging him as he was young and the worst happened /just know what and why and talk to his family /see if he still has their support as he will need it
  9. Both kids have their US passports and u want the N600 for anything that could come up in the future?
  10. Brother and sister both in law enforcement and prison life is rough You can do a search http://kool.corrections.ky.gov/ that's the Kentucky offender lookup You can also search court records to see ALL his arrests and convictions it may help to know his prison ID or SS #. Visits in Kentucky prison are scheduled if u r on visitor list (HInt: u should be able to view who else is on that list /I would check for other females) visits are for 1 hour with possible 1 hour extension read the site I sent as it says it all

  15. has happened before Crazycat answered 3. Call USCIS and ask for "technical assistance" at each prompt. It should connect you to a human.
  16. https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/chapter5.pdf page 9 Apply for a U.S. Passport. We strongly recommend that you apply for a U.S. passport soon after your oath. You will not be able to travel abroad until you have your U.S. passport. Please allow sufficient time between your ceremony and any planned travel to receive your passport
  17. Because no one notified them of the death of your father/this should have been done in 2011
  18. she would include the income along with the SS annual letter(s) to show the current year's income for each child We usually receive these letters for the upcoming year in the fall /mine comes in October
  19. to marry and do the spouse i gave the site for Kentucky prison rules Kentucky does not allow conjugal visits so to file CR 1 she would need to wait till he is out Also the inmate must list her for the approved visitor list Before visiting your inmate check all the rules you need to follow. You can find an inmate at Kentucky State Penitentiary , using the Pigeonly Inmate Search if you need help before visitng. After the visitor has been approved by the correctional facility they need to check with their inmate on what days they are allowed to visit. Visitors must register in the Inmate Visitation system prior to scheduling an appointment with the inmate. Does Ky have conjugal visits? There are only four U.S. states that currently allow conjugal visits, often called "extended" or "family" visits: California, Connecticut, New York, and Washington.Jun 21, 2022
  20. “IV Docs in CCD”, it means that your supporting documents are electronic, and you will only receive your passport from us.
  21. there are a couple of VJ members who are going thur or went thru this use the search bar above to see others/ just type married to US inmate Melissa1711 is one who wanted to know about marrying on an ESTA you may want to review KY rules for visitation https://corrections.ky.gov/Facilities/AI/ksr/Pages/visitinginformation.aspx#:~:text=Visiting is by appointment only,1 extended visit per month. 22. adding the email to the case is auto update that u did/ found that out when a gf was told that for her case embassy answers to most emails are computer generated and will say something like "Case is in AP for additional security checks, you can check your case for information and updates on following site" Basically if there is not yet a decision to approve or deny, there is no information to give u and u need to wait it out We know it is a hard and heartbreaking process but many of us went thru long waits and the reward at the end is worth it My visa took 6 years so i do know and wish u well
  23. follow the site /it is clear on what is part time and what is nonresident status if part time, u do not use form 2555 for california income , california income is taxable IS she a RDF or nonresident? they are quite different If you’re married/registered domestic partner (RDP), you may choose to file separately. Each spouse or partner will prepare a separate tax return and report their individual income and deductions.
  24. My response was that to file a New I 130 , the petitioner has to answer to the NOIR/NOID he posted and the CO statements to him that they spent so little time together to prove a real relationship. As they do not intent to respond to US office for the denial but attorney said to file new I 130. sorry i left some info out but was writing fast while waiting for my PT appointment
  25. As a nonresident, you pay tax on your taxable income from California sources. Sourced income includes, but is not limited to: Services performed in California Rent from real property located in California The sale or transfer of real California property Income from a California business, trade or profession Read about filing joint or separate in California and the deductions she would pay on worldwide if she is part time resident /she is not /she is nonresdent As a part-year resident, you pay tax on all worldwide income while you were a resident of California. https://www.ftb.ca.gov/file/personal/residency-status/part-year-and-nonresident.htm If u file separate, she has to file form 2555 allows for exculsion of foreign income up to 2023, the maximum exclusion is $120,000 per person. Line 13 is for federal adjusted gross income which would be minus 120,000 and taxes due on that amount
