Yeah...Sandra will let you know what's really going on..and guide you on the next steps to take..hopefully!

Ok, so just to make it more clear here and maybe someone can help her in this situation. She has not received the response from VAWA center yet. This is a reply from NRC Center in regards to a request she made to the police station in the State the incident happened about releasing the body camera Video. Now the police said they will do so only after they received the clearance from NRC which she didn't get, based on the FOIA reply. Now my suggestion was for her to email back to FOIA and ask what else they need in order to get the info requested. Any thoughts or experiences whit such type of situation?

LOL! I was startled at first..anyways I sincerely hope she's on the right path! An attorney would have been a great guidance for her..really don't know what this correspondence is about!😏

I just went online as they direct her in the letter to https://first.uscis.gov/#/check-status and it just says that her FOIA is completed, but i honestly don't understand why the package of documents went to NRC (National Records Center) when it had the VAWA application and documents. Natalie, i guess you can send them an email at the FOIAPAQuestions@uscis.dhs.gov and ask what happened to your package and why it has been directed to their department instead of VAWA.

I received my green card interview notice today! The interview is for October 3, 2019!

I applied for Vawa on October 3, 2016

Vawa was approved on April 18, 2018

    Interview  date October 3, 2019

    exactly 3 years.

any suggestions for the interview @sandraj? I was arrested due to false allegations from my ex and that case was dismissed.

Congrats 🎊🎉🎈 So I guess involving the congressman got them moving. Yay!!! Really happy for you 👍

They sent me courtesy letter..for i693 to update my medicals! Most people receive this RFE prior to interview! So you may likely get it as well...and yeah those errors on the i485 does not adversely affect the adjudication of the petition! We're good!😀🙌👍

Thanks @Stillwinning!!!😊 What is the RFE about usually? I mean the vawa was approved, all the documents from that application should be of guidance, isn’t it? @sandranj would really appreciate your input.

Lol😂😂😂 and yeah exactly! patience..it will arrive!👍 I'm waiting for my interview to correct a few biographical info..incorrectly imputed by attorney! I guess the interview is where it all clears out!😏

About this: mistakes on I485, I unfortunately didn’t receive the form from the attorney prior to submitting so only recently I noted a couple on mistakes on it. When I brought it up to her attention and asked if we should just leave this for the time of interview and she said she will be sending list of amendments. They are not material changes to the application, but ministerial changes, thus should not affect review of application. Anyone else had to deal with it?

and another question that I have, what evidence USCIS may be asking for prior to scheduling the interview besides the biometric renewal? Thanks.

I haven't gotten to the position where I have to renew my C31...I've always thought that the greencard will come first..thereby making the C31 renewal of no use! Anyway since they cashed the check..it's a sign that it's moving along and you'll be hearing from them anytime now...also i360 (VAWA) is a different petition from i765 (Employment Authorization) which is the EAD C31 application as a result of the approved VAWA petition and as such will have it's own case number! I hope this is not confusing..

Thanks @Stillwinning!!!😊 & @Deserteagle i was trying to see of any updates online, but since i have no notice yet with the assigned number i was thinking maybe i could try and check under the same EAC...... number that i initially received it under VAWA, but yeah, it would make sense to have a totally new one as you guys said. 😚Have a great long weekend everyone, i guess USCIS is getting another day off on Monday....:(

  8. i tried to recall from the thread, but i couldn't seem to locate the conversation, how long does it take from the time Vermont receives your EAD C31 renewal application till you receive the Notice? They cashed the check for the fee yesterday after 2 weeks so just curious. Also, do they assign a different case number or they just add the updates to the I360 case? Thanks.

So I just stepped outside my house to get my mails..behold a letter from Commissioner of jurors office saying I am required by law to fill out the form for a prospective juror service..and that my name was selected at random!!!😳 ok my question is..who's gonna tell these people that I'm not a U.S. citizen..and I'm just a poor country girl waiting to get her interview in peace!😭😭😥😥 I prefer to be left alone! I don't wanna be a juror!!! HELP!!!😞

I think somewhere in their system the Officer marked you already as a citizen, they only need to call you to the interview out of courtesy 😂😂😂

It’s coming hon, you are close 😘

    Here is my timeline:

December 2016- filed i130, i485, EAD with abusive spouse

    Sept 2017- Filed VAWA

October 2017- i485 marriage based interview. Went by myself for obvious reasons. Asked IO to withdraw that file as I had put in a new AOS. Also fired the attorney who filed the marriage petition.

    January 2018- First EAD

    July 2018- EAD renewal

    April 2019- EAD C31

    June 2019- VAWA Approval notice

    July 2019- Transfer notice

    September 2019- Interview.

Congrats! I got excited for a moment as i saw in your profile the filing office Chicago :)  Wish you all the best and will definitely be praying for you and everyone else here

Oh..that explains why you were advised to wait until your i360 is approved! We can only hope for a speedy process so you can move on with your life! How does someone stay LPR for 15yrs though?😏😕

I am so mad that my attorney didn't file all this forms at once, i could have traveled all this time and have my EAD. And now i am mad that i didn't travel with my AP when had it planned for because she said "no". @Stillwinning!!!😊 pass me some of your positivity and faith... :( all i try it just makes me more and more stressed and depressed. I know God is there for us and sees it all, but all kind of thoughts are crossing my mind and they take over me 😪😪

    Hello everyone -

My EAD expires next month and I received a receipt notice granting automatic 180-day extension.

Has anyone received the actual renewed card before 180 days?

Can I renew my driver's license with the I-797 and would it be only for 180 days?

    (I filed in July 2018)

Read in previous threads, someone explains very detailed that you can renew with your extension but some offices might give you hard time. If I am not wrong she said they extend only till your extension is due.

It’s literally just 2 sheets of paper saying that this person (in this case -you) made a inquiry about your case. And it will tell you at what stage it is right now, that is waiting in query to be scheduled for an interview. Don’t panic! 😜

Thanks! did you receive it this way? Did you travel with this paper?

Yes, i applied after VAWA approval so it came out separately as a paper. I didn't travel... God knows how much i wanted to though. Several attorneys advised not to, and i didn't have any criminal record or anything like that is just really depend on who you stumble on upon entry, they might not be in a good mood. I chickened out, but hey people over here shared their experience and it went well.

I just sent you the timeline as reference but usually is 5-12 months to get Interview after Vawa’s Approval average 8-10 months majority I had read, very seldom 5 months others up to

    12 -14 months

No, i get it. It's gonna be even longer for me cause the I485 was submitted after VAWA approval and not all at once. So should i count from the date of the transfer or from the time they received my application? Thanks.
