I am experience the same “glitch” I ca not see anything now after my interview here in Chicago on 8/14.

    FYI : CL 3/13/19

    Medical 5/29/19

    Interview Notice 7/19/19

    Interview Date 8/14/19

    Still waiting for an answer...

I didn't follow your story from the beginning as i am fairly new here on the forum, but i truly believe that you soon will get the approval notice. I think the officer is just keeping you hanging.... just cause they can... Find something to busy yourself with in order to distract you. I know it's painfully exhausting. All in God's hands.

Oh now it makes sense!😀👍 what's your field office again? I really do hope you get your IN really soon! Chances are that you may not need the EAD..but better to be safe though....did you get CL?

No, no CL. but my medicals are not expiring until January 2020, so i don't really expect the CL. I am from Chicago.

You're right my dear! I still don't know how I got through the whole process from filing to approval! It wasn't easy..one day just attaches to the next..on repeat! Those were really dark times...I learnt how to smile again...😊😊😊🌹🌹🌻🌸🌸🌻🌻

That's it, the site is back on :) I guess it was a glitch after all :( :(  Sometimes i think maybe the monitor this site too... if so can we ask them kindly to speed up the process :D

I really want to know about this c31 renewal..how did that happen? You mean you got c31 without vawa approval? If not then no interview since the c31 was issued? Please intimate me..really curious!😕

I got Vawa approval in December 2018. On January 7, 2019 they sent me the EAD(C31) under VAWA. I submitted (my attorney  did) the I485  only after approval so in February, 2019. I got notice that my case was transferred to another office sometimes in March and now i am waiting on the interview notice. But since that is not coming yet, i needed to renew my EAD cause it expires in December. If the interview comes earlier and it's approved :D i won't need the EAD (C31) anymore- hopefully.

Hahaha😂😂😂 you're hilarious! To dream is good👍...takes you away from harsh realities!😏 truthfully I hope no one goes crazy waiting..🙏😊

We have to keep encouraging each other tbh cause i am ..this close to insanity. I sent my EAD C31 renewal to Vermont and the mail was delivered today, so i am thinking that maybe they are just updating the file. Who knows 🤔

Anyone having issues with case status page? Keeps coming up blank, trying to check by faith if they have sent my green card.......lol 😀

Yes- me, and i think many others. I am secretly hoping/dreaming that they are reviewing it at the moment and that's why i can't see anything :) But than i slap myself on the face and say -no, it's just a glitch :D Let's hope none of us goes crazy here waiting. I checked about 4 hours ago and all was fine, but now it's blank.

Not. I and he did not have common children. Also, all the property belongs to my husband. The marriage was short-lived. These were K1 K2 visas.

then what is the hold up? Why you feel like you shouldn't sign the divorce papers? Do you think he owes you more than he offered? It shouldn't cost a lot to just go and get an attorney's advice just to get more knowledgable with the process. Good luck.

I do not speak English well, and maybe I didn’t explain correctly. My husband filed for divorce. I am not in America, they made me my son go to Russia . And now, through his divorce lawyer, he proposes to solve this divorce case without a court or judge...Thank you.

there is no divorce without court. the Judge has to enter the Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage in order to get it dissolved. What your husband is probably trying to do is just to have you sign the documents and he will show up in court at the day of the prove up and present the mutual signed agreement, stating you both agree that there were irreconcilable differences and that the marriage couldn't be saved. It's an uncontested divorce, which basically saves you time and money and is done when you don't have anything to share, like properties or kids (is the baby his?). It also depends, how long were you together, do you have any shared properties (like did you buy a house together?) did you both worked and deposited everything into one account and you think a part of those money belong to you... this is when there is trial, when you can't agree on this kind of stuff. when you need to agree on what days you get the kid and what days he is. Is this your type of situation?

Yes! I advised you to do so, totally worth it!

on my case she stood up to say, irrelevant to the case of my client, not appropriate to ask as we filed and you should have all documents in hand, etc... very responsive to protect me! I love my lawyer!

I strongly believe you are fine, maybe the officer didn't like that your attorney was not afraid to talk/stop any inappropriate questions from his side so he wanted to show some superiority. Keep praying and God will take care of you, he doesn't give us more that we can't handle. We all  here will be praying for positive outcomes.

  10. Hey everyone, i read this a lot on this forum, but i never thought it happened to me as well. So i have been requesting my I485 form form my attorney from the day it was filed, they just never sent it to me. I insisted on it today again and finally got it and upon review i spotted some mistakes. I asked her what needs to be done, but ofcourse i didn't get an answer. What needs to be done now? Do i need to submit the corrections? I also need to apply for the EAD(C31) renewal that i decided to do it myself and not trust my attorney. So just to recap in case i am missing anything, do i send the I765, 2 photos, a copy of the VAWA approval, and a copy of the current EAD. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Just an update. I went to my i485 marriage based interview today. My husband was already there when I got there and he requested to talk to the officer in private first. The IO called me separately after an hour and asked me questions about the relationship. I showed him the i360 and prima facie and proofs of the abuse. After the interview, he told me that he believes it was a genuine marriage and that I was abused, and it’s very rare but he will still approve the petition. He said my story looks more accurate and believable than what my husband told him. He said I should get my green card in the mail in 1-2 weeks. I thought that was the end of it. I was crying and praising Jesus that moment.

I got a call from him 2 hours later, he said that there was a judge ruling in 2018 that says they cannot approve adjustments if the affidavit of support is withdrawn. My husband withdrew the affidavit of support. He said that he will put the case under Administrative closure. It's not approved, not denied but I'm not under removal proceedings or anything like that and still valid to work.

He said just wait for the VAWA adjudication and based on my story he doesn't see any reason why it will be denied so just be patient.
Hopefully, some more good news soon. I’m still thankful to everyone who prayed for me and especially to God.  Prayers move mountains.

OMG your story brought tears into my eyes... There are still good people out there and that officer is one of them. Stay strong and keep on believing. 😘

From my findings, looks like C31 renewal made the list of categories to pay for EAD fees which is $410! Except of course you wish to apply for a waiver...see 👀below 👇

"If you can’t pay the filing fee for Form I-765, you may be eligible to have your fee waived. In this case, you should fill out Form I-912 (Request for Fee Waiver) and submit it along with your Form I-765. Make sure to include all of the necessary evidence to prove that you can’t pay the filing fee"

Thanks for the reply. So i asked my lawyer if they would do it and she said their attorney fees are $200.00 and when i emailed inquiring if there is a fee for filing the renewal itself i didn't get a reply. So now i am confused cause i don't know if i should pay or not... I will keep on calling the attorney's office and maybe i get a reply, or maybe @sandranj knows? Thanks a lot everyone!

    Hi

I contacted some of the members on here and they gave me so much support about traveling, so hope everything goes smoothly and well.. will stay there for 4 weeks and will post my experience once I come back.. good luck to us all!!!

Good for you! I chickened out and didn't go :( I am sure everything will be good and you will have a bless. Have fun and enjoy the time with the loved ones :*

Hi, I overstayed too but like 5 years. I didn’t use any SSN. My lawyer before told me that immigration can forgive us working under the table as long as we don’t falsify documents. My question is that, did you mean you’ve got TIN? or really SSN? As far as I know, isn’t SSN only for people who are here legally who can obtain that and TIN is for non-legal individuals? How did you obtain SSN if you weren’t legal yet at that time? I’m just curious, let me know how it goes.

I entered legally with a J1, so i obtained the SSN right after, but it says "Valid for work with DS authorization only". All the employers i had, didn't care for asking if i was still having a legal status (i believe they kind of knew i don't"). So i just carried on working and filing taxes without any issue. But i know i will be asked when the time comes and i don't intend to lie, but i was just curious if anyone else had a similar situation at the interview.

  15. I also have a question in this regards in case anyone had similar experience. I overstayed my status for over 10 years and worked all the time because the employers didn't care about my status. So my concern is, what to say at the interview if i am being asked? It's not like i was claiming i was a US citizen when applying for jobs, i was just providing the SSN and they were fine with it. Thanks.

you should apply hun..because with USCIS you just never know! Afterall I've seen someone here who got approved in April and all set for their interview in August! While some folks have been waiting forever...take all precautions LOL! It's not a loss..whenever the interview is scheduled all good and fine!

You see, that's what i'm talking about! :))) - A good advice, because there is no use from my attorney, i emailed her to ask when she thinks i should apply- crickets! And if i call i only talk to her clerk because she is always "busy" And i haven't bothered her since January, with not even one single question, because i get it that she has lots like me, but common, have the courtesy to reply or give at least an update once in 6 months if you had the guts to ask for a full payment ahead.

    THANK YOU!

YES!!! The August crew!!!👑👑👑😘💕❤ HBD mate!💥💫🌟🌟💥 lots if blessings!!

Blessings to you and all the good people out here. 😘 I am very new here but very glad i found you. Lots of valuable information here. I would also like to ask for your advise here if i may... Vawa approved on January 7, 2019, the EAD expires in December, still didn't receive any interview/courtesy letter. So, should i apply for the EAD renewal just to be sure, or wait? Thanks in advance.
