You will definitely have issues when applying for citizenship as you should have informed USCIS. It is not their fault and the lawyers are wrong: the "timelines" are not close at all. You had seven months to inform them after your husband filed for divorce and two months after the divorce was final.
 
My guess is that if you apply for citizenship they will deny and revoke the removal of conditions and you will need to apply again; in the process, an NTA could be issued which would mean you go to immigration court.

Assuming you pass the interview, your next step is to take the oath of citizenship. At that point, you are a US citizen.  It could be same day or a few months afterwards.  Good luck.

Just got an alert on my phone - Interview scheduled!  Had to immediately log into the status website & check the PDF of the interview notice for the date 😆
 
Did anyone else have a sudden burst of emotion and want to cry when they saw those words? lol

No she had a combo interview all by herself. I waited in the car in the parking lot. She did tell the IO that I was out in the car. Just take ALL your 751 documents along with your N400 documents and you'll be fine.

That apparently was a good thing,  they had a few things to verify and you aced it. You'll be getting further details soon about your combo interview as they so much as said you'll have a combo  interview. Congrats!

We had quite an interesting experience last Thursday. Two immigration officers showed up at the house. 
Our living situation is unusual, so we think they wanted to verify a few things. It was a coincidence we were even at the house, yet alone even in the state. 
I’m a travel nurse and we use my parents’ house as our permanent address and tax home. It’s been that way since we got married. It’s where we keep all our things other than the clothes we take while I’m working elsewhere. My husband (the applicant) travels with me always. He’s with me wherever my work assignment is (typically 13 weeks). We wrote up an explanation of this in our original ROC packet and N400. We have a signed document by my parents that we pay rent and it’s our permanent address which was also included in both packets. 
They asked for our IDs, took pictures of them with us holding them, asked if we had pictures of us together around the house (fortunately we have them and my parents display them), asked about work. They clearly read up on us and were very familiar with our file. The whole interaction was probably less than 5 minutes. They practically ran away while saying, “you’ll be contacted for your civics exam soon and the 751 and 400 will be processed at the same time.” 
 
No updates on our cases yet.

She just let me read it, she didn’t let me take a picture (she’s knows I’m always on this site) I think she probably used dental services and she needed to repay, but you know some people are never honest with their explanations. I just wanted to be sure for my information because I NEVER heard of this.

my coworker’s sister, overstayed her tourist visa and has to pay a fine. Her attorney said it’s a new law signed in 2021, and USCIS is now enforcing it. 
 
has anyone heard of this?

She just let me read it, she didn’t let me take a picture (she’s knows I’m always on this site) I think she probably used dental services and she needed to repay, but you know some people are never honest with their explanations. Depends on the country. I know Haiti and Jamaica both need to be present. 

Is the attorney advising her to pay? I’m curious as to the method of payment specified in the notice

It’s been “introduced”, it hasn’t passed or became law.

That’s the most common reason for denying a visitor visa. Happens very often 

I 100% doubt this story. 
Friend's parents probably didn't disclose this to IO.
