  1. We were talking about keeping the paperwork after the oath ceremony
  2. Hi all! I decided to get rid off lots of papers related to all my previous cases. Do I need to keep anything for the future? If so, I guess I should keep ex spouse copies of passport and birth certificate, divorce and marriage license. Do I need to keep the copies of my work permit, receipts and etc? Any thoughts on this. Thank you!
  3. We don’t and good luck to you! Yours is coming soon 🙏
  4. I’m a person with a “good luck” lol, so when I went to the interview I was prepared for “something might be happening”. My interview was at 8:30. There was a line outside with 15-20 people. They allowed us in at 8:15. Got to the waiting room by 8:30 and saw there were still people waiting to be called. Around 8:35 they started calling people who were scheduled for 8:30. 20 minutes passed and most of the people were called in. 9:10 - 3-4 people left in the waiting room including me and noticed another group was checking in for 9:30 interviews. That’s when I thought hm I might be the last one (as always) lol. 9:45- 2 people for 8:30 including me are left and they started calling people who got there for 9:30 interview 9:55 -my fellow from 8:30 was called in and then I started worrying. 10:00 - they kept calling people for 9:30 and I decided to ask an officer if everything is ok with me I was supposed to have my interview at 8:30 and he said yes you have to wait someone will call you. Meanwhile people get called in and more than a half of the group for 9:30 was called in. 10:10 - I asked another officer and showed my interview notice with time and his eyes were surprised and he said wait a second I’m gonna ask someone he got a person for the interview inside I sat down and was laughing inside realizing my “good luck” and what happened, was it cancelled, was my file lost or something… he came back to me and said the officer is next to me and you should be called in just wait 10:15 - I was finally called in. That’s not the end of my nerve wracking story. Civics, reading, writing - all good. Went through the application with the officer - all good until we got to my citations I had 2. Showed the court dispositions (court reduced it to stop parking violations) which states they were paid. the officer was super nice(please forgive my Miami English accent lol) and the officer asked me- do you have these citations tickets. I said no only the dispositions. And then she said you probably will need the police report. and then inside of me I was like omg, here we go again, that means the decision won’t be made today and everything will be postponed until who knows when. Then she said let me ask my supervisor. When she was coming back I heard she said to him- thank you I just wanted to make sure. Then there were issues with scheduling me for the oath because I was based on VAWA and the supervisor helped us and when the supervisor was leaving he said - relax and congratulations, it’s over! Then I finally relaxed. Came back 2 hours later for the oath ceremony. Finally felt relieved and realized that the journey is over a day after. 01.02.24- filled VAWA based 3y rule 01.24.24- biometrics reuse 03.01.24- interview scheduled 04.09.24- interview with the same day oath Good luck to everyone!!
  5. Forgot to update Got the notification for biometrics 2 days after I posted the message lol It took 22 days 01.02.24 n400 filled 01.24.24 biometrics reuse And the estimated time dropped to 6 months
  6. Still neither biometrics reuse nor biometric appointment. It’s been 3 weeks. And estimated time was 8 months and now it has disappeared 😕
  7. Great! I believe we filed the same day and I still haven’t received the biometric appointment notification. Maybe mine comes soon. When were your last biometrics taken?
  8. Neither I. There’s nothing to be worried about. It’s just a part of the process. I saw some people didn’t have biometrics reuse had to go to get them done and still got their interviews pretty quick.
  9. Just applied yesterday (online) under 3y rule. Received the NOA within 15 minutes but not biometrics reuse. Apparently I’ll have to go to get them done. Estimated time 8 months.
  10. I don’t know how it works I hired a lawyer and it was reduced from a cell phone use to -stopping, standing or parking in specified places 😬🤷‍♂️ I had to pay a fine for this violation. do you think that means I can write “stop, parking” violation as it says it the disposition?
  11. Hello everyone! I’m about to file n400. I’ve been cited twice- both are traffic tickets. 1- cellphone but lawyer reduced it to a parking ticket- paid 2- speeding- paid Should I write in - why were you cited - “Traffic ticket” for both citations or I need to be more specific about it? 1. “Cellphone use” 2. “Speeding” Should I write in -outcome - “fine paid” for both citations? Thank y’all
