Wow Congrats! Your case moved super fast at NVC stage:) Hope you don’t mind me asking, Was it expedited?
I’m super confused on how NVC works?! So many people at NVC stage including me wait nearly a month to get docs reviewed and if anything needs to be re submitted we have to get back in the line to be reviewed again- which can take up to another 3 weeks.  Something’s really wrong here! I’ve called NVC numerous times and they’ve all said it takes up to 3 weeks or longer. Anyone who reads this please explain the logic to this?
    Again congrats to you!

    Hey friends!

I received my case number from the NVC today, August 1st, 2019. via email. My NOA2 was June 19, 2019. The USCIS officially sent our case to the NVC July 1st, 2019. The NVC received our case July 10th, 2019.

This was after I inquired via email 3 weeks ago. They got back to me yesterday saying they had not processed my case number yet, and then I woke up to the email this morning.

I have seen others with this problem post about it. If I recall, if they already had DQ, NVC told them it was a computer error and to ignore it. Those that didn't had to resubmit. Since you are going to have to submit your joint sponsor info, I would just go ahead and upload the civil docs again. It will all get looked at together, so It shouldn't add anymore time to your review. Sorry that this happened. Hopefully just a minor setback and you will be back on track soon!

Just my ten cents😀 but I would submit it again. The same thing happened to me at the end of May, but only one of my papers went missing. My sponsor (my dad) had submitted his tax documents, they'd been accepted and then randomly it said incomplete about a week later. No email no nothing. We decided to resubmit and it was accepted again and there was no problem after that.

You’ll need to give them what they are requesting.  It will take the time it takes. It’s not yours to control unfortunately.  It  can be very  discouraging I know

I'm not sure what IL means 😁, still learning the lingo around here. I'm document qualified as of the 26th June. Stuck waiting for an interview now and so stressed out as I don't know when it'll be. Got a wedding I have to go to at the end of August and don't know what to do 😢

As the petitioner, your daughter has to fill out the I-864 even if she doesn't meet the income requirements. She is the primary sponsor even if she has no income. So, they accepted her form correctly. I believe on reading further that a household member can only be a spouse, parent, or child, unless she is claimed on her grandma's taxes as a dependent. So, that is why she wasn't accepted as a household member and must be a joint sponsor. You might want to go online now and see if allows you to add her as a joint sponsor (before they remove her as a household member). It may not if they see that she was already listed as a household member, but you might be able to. You can then get a headstart getting all that stuff uploaded in the correct spot. As for email, they are not always quick to respond, so you may end up having to call them back and have her removed. This stuff can be so complicated. Good luck!

So, your daughter is the sponsor and petitioner, correct? Does your mother live with her? If not, she is not a household member. Make sure you follow the little chart on the NVC page for which type of form applies to whom. Also, if your daughter doesn't make enough money to sponsor you and your mother also doesn't have enough.... AND they aren't eligible to be household members, you may run into a problem. You might want to run this scenario by some of the senior members in the processes forum. My understanding is that each sponsor or joint sponsor has to qualify on their own, unless they have a qualifying household member that they can add, such as a spouse or child that lives in the same house. If you are trying to add the income of two people together that do not live together, they will not be considered qualified to be a sponsor. If your daughter was accepted as a sponsor and makes enough income, you do not have to add your mother as a joint sponsor, but I thought that NVC is the only one that can remove a household member or joint sponsor once they have been added. I'm surprised the person you talked to didn't know that. I don't think there is any way for you to do it online. Hope this helps and I didn't just confuse you more.

I had a similar situation last week when NVC accepted all other financial/civil documents we submitted and rejected the i-864Ez form my wife (my sponsor) submitted. They said she was not qualified to use that form. We think it's because 2 of my wife's last 3 years total income was lower than required.. So we added her mother as a Household member and submitted her financial documents, e.g 3years tax return and 3years W2s, including the i-1864A form while my wife resubmitted a i-1864 form. We hope and pray, NVC accepts them this time, as we wait for a review. We really hope we have submitted the correct documents this time, so that we can get C.C and move on to the next stage of the process, without any more delays. We also hope that mother-in-law was supposed to be added a Household member and not a Joint sponsor. And to answer your question: I don't think it is advisable to call the NVC for this. It may take a long time to hear from them and you don't want any delays. So I advise you read through the link below, to know exactly what forms you need to submit. Endeavor to let us know how it went, after you resubmit and hear back from them. I wish you the best.

Your daughter’s i864 seems to be accepted on the basis that you are gonna provide your mother’s i864 as a joint sponsor. Unless you daughter’s income is sufficient for based on poverty guidelines, i suggest you upload your mom’s i864 as a joint sponsor as NVC says. It will take a while for them to review for sure.

If they ask you to submit an I864 for your mother as a joint spouse, I would do it.

It looks like the I-864a was rejected because they do not have
proof of US citizenship for grandma proof that grandma and granddaughter live at the same address. If they don't live at the same address, then combining income (I-864a) is not allowed so they are saying I -864 for grandma who appears (to them) as having a different address.

By taking a household member off your daughter's I-864, her form is wrong. Her total household income will be your daughter's income alone. By moving grandmother to an I-864, she has to earn enough to sponsor on her own. If you need to combine incomes because neither qualifies on their own, then fix the reasons why I-864a was rejected. (Proof they live in the same house).
