I know it really is the biggest decision I’ve ever made. The worst part is you can’t move on with your life for a while during this limbo! I can’t book flights I can’t send my wedding invitations out until it says issued!!!  I emailed them again this morning but I had no reply all day unless they reply tomorrow! 

On a side note it’s super quick to change your name on your passport now. I’m coming home for a visit in April too.

You fill in and pay for your application Online then said them your passport and marriage certificate via tracked mail. 
The whole thing only took me 7days to get my new passport, (I paid for next day service) which they did after getting my documents.

I don't think there is any logic in how USCIS are handling the EADs card like it did with K 1 visas. November people would get their approval before october or even september. It depends on who is handling the case. Some officers work faster than others. These days people are getting their GC faster than EADs. I personally believe it's a waste of time and resources to process EADs cards with the waiting time is between 6-8 months, because once one gets their GC they no longer need EAD. A few years ago took people a few weeks to get their EAD, in our days can take up to 8 months or more.

Aaand only few hours afterwards I got "Interview was Scheduled". My case went from "RFIE received" by uscis on Dec 28 to "Interview was Scheduled" in less than 3 weeks.
I'm sure that it depends a lot by the local office each case is assigned to, but it's seems like our cases (fall 2019) started moving really quickly.

You can continue to use your maiden name passport, but book your ticket in the name on the passport. It makes it much easier at the airline counters to get boarding passes, etc. Take a copy of your marriage certificate to show you have a new married name which is on the greencard just in case somebody asks.

Your biometrics was really quick compared to myself and a lot of others. This is good and.. not so good. You're probably in an earlier "batch" of applicants (good), but since your field office is not ready yet you'll get to sit there for a while (not so good). The wait feels worse because you got to the next step fairly quickly and stopped. Don't get discouraged! You're further in line but still waiting in line, if that makes sense. 

Mine has currently been 45 days since biometrics with no update; so not always the case

Just booked mine for 11:30am on Tuesday 10th September 🙃.
 
Know there were others waiting for September slots, so get booking!
