George Judea reacted to Fr8dog in Questions about I-944
needless to say, I did not have to deal with this stuff but a quick scan of the instructions https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-944instr-pc.pdf?download=1 gave me this for the tax return part:
If you are filing Form I-944 between January 1 and April 15 of any year, and you and/or your household members have
not yet filed the current year’s federal income tax return, submit IRS transcripts for the most recent tax year. At the time
of interview on your application, an officer may request the tax return transcripts for the current tax year. Submit any tax
transcripts for any income taxes that you or your household members filed with any foreign government if you or your
household members were residing outside of the United States during any time within the most recent tax year and you
were not required to file a federal individual income tax return with the United States government.

Credit score:
Item Numbers 11. - 12. Credit Card Score and Report. USCIS will review your U.S. credit report and the credit score
submitted with your declaration, if available, to review your financial status. If it is available, identify the latest credit
score number.
You can obtain a free credit report once a year under the Fair Credit Reporting Act from each one of the three credit
reporting agencies. You are only required to provide one credit report from any of the three nationwide credit reporting
agencies, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. See https://www.usa.gov/credit-reports for more information. If there
are any errors in the credit report, you should provide evidence from the credit reporting agency that demonstrates that
you reported the error and that the error is under investigation or has been resolved.
If you have any negative history in your credit report, you may provide an explanation in the designated area of this
form. Negative credit history may include delinquent accounts, debt collections, charge-offs (delinquent accounts deemed
unlikely to be collected), repossession, foreclosure, judgments, tax liens, or bankruptcy on your credit report.
If you do not have a credit report or credit score, provide documentation that demonstrates that you do not have a credit
report or score with a credit bureau. You may provide evidence of continued payment of bills if there is no credit report or
credit score.

The may in the last sentence to me means you can, if you want to, but it's not required. And than I'm assuming it is going to be one of those things you want to do if you don't have a lot of other stuff to show you are making money.
Edit:
As with all government forms, read the instructions and fill in/provide what is requested. Assumptions and guessing are never a good thing with these forms.
in general:
may: indicates you are allowed but it is not required.
must: indicates that it is required
should: indicates that it is expected but for some reason they cannot say must. (treat it as a must)
if available: indicates that you include it if you can get it, but if you cannot get it than that's ok to.

George Judea reacted to Almostthere08 in New I-1944 Form...Anyone Sent It In W/O Rejection or RFE?
Everything should be for the beneficiary who is now the actual petitioner. If the petitioner is a new immigrant they may not have credit history or anything but you have to try to get a letter from the credit bureau that says he doesn’t have a credit file. The only thing that’s really about the US citizen is the I-864. The US citizen fills that out and attaches the supporting documents(tax return transcripts, w-2’s, pay check stubs, letter of employment etc to establish that they meet the 125% poverty level.

Thank you kindly, that's what I assumed but with these things you don't want to ASSUME...you have to know....thank you once again.

You are lucky they returned it, they can get the payments and later denied your case because of missing documents. Consider yourself lucky.
After Feb 24, 2020, you need to send I-944 along with I-485. You may use Form I-864EZ if ALL the following conditions apply:
1. You are the person who filed or is filing Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, for a relative being sponsored;
2. The relative you are sponsoring is the only person listed on Form I-130; and
3. The income you are using to qualify is based entirely on your salary or pension and is shown on one or more Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2s provided by your employers or former employers.

George Judea got a reaction from Kayls in Accuracy Of VJ Timeline For NOA2???
Hello all of my people!
For those of you who have gone through the NOA1 and NOA2 process AND used VJ Timeline, I am just curious how accurate was it? Mine is predicting first to second week August 2019 for NOA2 (without any RFE’s)...I just filed at the end of March, you can check my timeline for that information. Just curious. I know it’s quite the wait and I am a very patient person but I just want to know the accuracy of the estimate given.
Thanks!

VJ Thread for those processing in Ghana where you can ask questions of others

Average wait time from when embassy receives the application is 6-8 weeks. Average time to be sent to Ghanaian embassy from NVC is 1 month. Therefore applicants should expect 3 months from NVC till receiving the P3. Interview slots are very limited for this embassy, so it is advised for applicants that believe that they are a "strong applicant" to proactively schedule their interview date three months out to secure a date and time.
These are all my learnings thus far through the painstaking process......

George Judea reacted to Mrs Oduro in Next Step?
I believe ur case is a k1 ryt then this is what’s next
-Your case will be sent to nvc and a case n invoice number will be generated for you
once u get that case number, ur case will be sent to Ghana 🇬🇭 and u have to wait for instructions (packet 3) from the embassy on your nxt steps
-after u get the packet 3, you pay the immigrant fee at GT bank, fill up the ds160 form then schedule your interview
