@Kai!1 I just wanted to say Congrats on your progress. Your NOA2 date was after me, but you are already out of NVC.

Are you using your phone to access the site? It didn’t let me open the barcoded form when I used my mobile before. I had to use my pc in order to view it. It would recommend that you use Internet Explorer but it worked fine when I used Chrome.

There’s a glitch. Just refresh the page and it will fix itself. I just booked a June 6th interview.

NVC should respond to your email request once your package has shipped.

Did you follow the format they require as noted here:

Unless you choose to use the 'asknvc' online form,  then no specific format required.  Just fill in the blanks.  Easy peasy.

You can pay the visa fee at BPI, but you can't schedule the interview until CEAC status shows READY.

Also, you will need the NVC letter/email to completed the medical at SLEC .. thus why I say calling NVC to get the MNL# doesn't help .. emailing NVC to get your MNL# is the best way to keep things moving forward quickly.

Here is a guide for the complete process for the K-1.

    You can pay the fee

You can pay the fee as mentioned. You can schedule your medical also, but for us, they wanted a copy of the NVC letter with case number, they literally accepted a screen shot of it I had taken as a photo for my husbands. You should, if not already, start getting everything else together. NBI clearance, CENOMAR or CEMAR, birth certificate (suggest several originals ordered), and any other documents they require such as any other police reports from other countries if applicable,

CFO can be scheduled also and even done before the interview, just have to return after to get final stamp/seal once your fiance received the visa.

There is no scheduling of the medical with SLEC. It’s walk-in. You can register online to save some time filling in forms.

You can schedule the interview (Edit: Once CEAC shows READY, as noted below). Just be sure to put it like a month out so that the case is at Manila and ready.

On average it taking 4 weeks NOA2 to NVC and NVC is assigning number in quicker fashion in about 1-2 weeks. Of course your mileage may vary.

You must have the MNL letter to show for your medical so going now or soon would be a waste of time. You may want to wait for the letter and go one time and do medical on Monday/Tuesday and then interview on Thursday/Friday and be done with in one trip. You could complete CFO on Wednesday. It's a busy week but it can be done.
  11. Thanks

Your fiance (petitioner) will only get the email from NVC if he requests it, otherwise you will be waiting for the NVC letter.  (either of you can email to request your MNL #, but only one of you)

It can take 2 weeks from when you received the NOA2 before NVC receives the case file from USCIS, then it can take another month before NVC has the MNL# .    I would wait on scheduling a flight to Manila for the medical, maybe wait to get the interview scheduled, then complete the medical during the same week .. handling both during the same trip.

You can still book your medical earlier than your interview once you have that date. The K1-visa expires 6 month after the date of the medical as far as I know 😊

@Kai!1  Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

    Thanks

I can guarantee they will notify you when YOUR case has been adjudicated with their answer. Calling is just a fruitless exercise because you will not move the case forward until such time as they complete all your background checks. Even a congress person is told that they cannot influence the decision. Let me share some information about what takes place. (Keep checking the website and be on the look out for "silent" approvals that come in the mail).

    RE: I-129F Case
USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of applications and petitions have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed.

If a background check reveals an issue that may impact an applicant’s eligibility for the requested immigration benefit, further inquiry is needed. The inquiry may include an additional interview and/or contact with another agency for updates or more comprehensive information. Upon gathering and assessing all available information, USCIS will adjudicate the application as quickly as possible.

USCIS realizes that the constituent may be frustrated by the progress of their case. However, the agency must balance individual inconvenience against broader issues of public safety and national security.
