I disagree. Those who file I-129f do a big favor to other filers, especially the future ones. By a courageous example, of how things should be done. 
This is the only way to make the government agency (Nebraska SC, and USCIS in general) change. When Nebraska doesn’t give a sh...t about people, who can take care of us but us??

I applied for the K3 yesterday. Just mailed it out. At this stage it’s a no brainer. I got my fingers crossed 🤞

Our I-129 PD is July 1st, I’m crossing my fingers so hard! Our I-130 pd is Sept 21st.

So, your husband claims $49,000 a year income for the last year on his taxes? What numbers are for the 2017 and 2016 years? And the size of his household?

Filled out my application for the K3 filing tomorrow. If I knew I would have applied for a K3 long time ago. 

What’s most likely gonna happen as soon as volume K3 petitions increases is USCIS will abolish K3, and this window will shut off.
 

I am updating my timeline along all the way. All you have to do is to follow it. 
Please accept my sympathy with such a long wait , hopefully your approval is coming very soon.

Right.  We’re totally willing to go the K3 route.  Sure, I’d prefer to not have to go through the process of AOS and just get the IR-1, but if a family’s situation meets all of the criteria for K3, and it seems to speed things along, there is no reason not to file it.  Frankly, I think anybody who is angry about it is kidding themselves if they say they wouldn’t file for one, too.  They just feel too close to their approval dates.  
 
It’s a shame that this backdoor process seems to circumvent the more straightforward IR/CR-1 queue, but it is what it is.  I refuse to be angry at anybody else...Potomac filers, asylum seekers, etc. My frustration is solely directed toward USCIS and this administration.  My refrain is that scarcity mentality that they’ve created shouldn’t turn us against each other!

i am new here but but I have reading the forum for a while now. I filed on August 22 2018 NSC and still waiting. I read up on the K3 Visa and it makes sense. I will be applying for the K3 Visa. It’s a no brained IMO. Wish I knew of it earlier! 

We got Nebraska and filed for I129f on top of I130. Denial on I129f and I130 got approved in 85 days. 

Ok so I researched the I129f and found a couple of things misleading.  There is an assumption that there are more being denied.  But from what I’ve been observing is that yes the I129 is being denied but that they (NSC) are pushing through the I-130 faster.  The processing time right now is stated to take 11-14.5 months but some that are filing the I129 are having their I130’s processed through Nebraska from 1-3 months.  We don’t know exactly how many chose to file the I129 that were approved for the I-130 instead.  
 
The second thing, there’s an assumption that if the I129 was a viable option,  then everyone would be doing it and bogging down the system.  I think the attorneys and various agencies have done a good job of spreading the word that it’s an outdated process and not worth the time to do.
 
i could be completely wrong but we will see as I filed the I129f this week.  If by some remote chance the K3 is approved, then I’m ok with paying the extra fee for adjustment.  11-14.5 is just insane.

OMG I thought this day would never come...my hands shaking when I found a letter in my mail box, did a little prayer before opened it🙏 The approval was on July 9, that means we suffered 4 more unnecessary days before the happy news reached me. My USCIS account is not updated, nor did I receive any emails and/SMS, even  Case Tracker case shows nothing. What’s the point of getting all those in the first place and checking them every day?
I woke my husband (beneficiary) with good news☎️, he is opening champagne now, it’s 5am in France🍾 😀
I want to say to all who are still waiting: Despite all the frustration, desperation and suffering, there is the light at the end of the tunnel👍and it is approaching you faster than you think. Just a little more of patience and faith, and the best is yet to come!👌

If I were you, I’d file K3 now. It’s never too late, it is free, you have nothing to lose. Many people did it, and it works. Nebraska sucks, you should not suffer because of their outrageously poor service, it’s not your fault your case ended up with Nebraska. If there is a trick to play to reduce the wait, go for it!
Moreover, I think all unlucky couples assigned to Nebraska, should file K3 immediately after receiving NOA1 with the dreadful LIN abbreviation! In solidarity. This way you gonna show to those motherf..s that they need to CHANGE , and NOW!🚩😡✊

I did not, but I was very close to do it. In fact, started to fill in the forms. But I got an approval yesterday. I am with Texas though.
