portorusa got a reaction from geowrian in I'm 26 years older than she is
Respectfully disagree. We have couples with big age gaps here, happily married for years. We also have couples of same age that are not couples anymore. Only time will tell who is there for a long haul.

portorusa got a reaction from Rumz05 in Unable to Submit Civic Doc at NVC stage(f4)
Did you scroll all the way down the list of required docs to make sure all of them are uploaded? ( Stupid question, I know but sometimes simple things are overlooked)..
If there’s not an issue than it must be a glitch on the NVC site. Log off your account, reboot your computer and try to submit again.
Good luck!

I don't know what CN is but I submitted all the docs through CEAC on 9/24. All were accepted and approved a week later, total surprise. NO RFEs, either.

portorusa reacted to JMPM in Submitted to Texas...Why Are They Processing in Nebraska?
I wouldn't say it's sooo common it still works.
What we can say is it might not work at all with IOE reciept so anyone filling out a petition now is going to get an IOE receipt, but those legacy wise still have a chance.. maybe.
Also the the quarterly reports don't show an crazy increase of I-129F denials so it's not wide spread yet, but we can't slice the statistics into it's parts K-1 vs K-3 denials. Either way. Sending the form in still has two outcomes. K-3 denial with I-130 approval earlier. Or Nothing I-130 eventually gets approved at the pace it was supposed to, and the K-3 gets denied.
There's also people that don't want to risk filing so they just don't do anything but watch from the sidelines here on the VJ forums, maybe they spoke to their lawyers and their lawyers said no way that's crazy talk.
Anyways it's all crazy. I hope service center assignment goes obsolete and that petitions would all be pooled into IOE and then pulled into a service center when it's time to work on the next case of that particular adjudicator. Clearly the first come first serve, service center assignment system is broken.

If you do nothing, it will take about a year (or possibly more) for your I-130 to be processed.
Or, search this forum extensively for the I-129F process and cut your processing time down considerably.

It's a dice four sides have Nebraska. The other two are Texas and if they accidentally drop the dice it goes to Potomac

portorusa reacted to SunflowerSweet in Withdrawal of second application, future application problems?
I’m here to support the women of VJ.

portorusa reacted to SunflowerSweet in Withdrawal of second application, future application problems?
Yepp, it’s definitely the women’s fault. Both American and otherwise. There’s no way the serial fiancé/visa petitioner who somehow believes it only takes one person to argue that could be the common denominator.

This... Or no one local is interested in what he has to offer.

Are American women really that bad?

Best practice is to send a letter dated and signed with black ink to the USCIS requesting the K1 Petition be withdrawn or cancelled for any relationship that ended. If you applied for two separate K1 visas and are asking if it will affect your potential third petition, it will. You are a serial filer and your best course would to marry any future girlfriend you have and apply for a CR-1. You should then attach any correspondence received from the USCIS saying your petition is cancelled for number 1 and 2 girlfriends. You should be fine for the CR-1/IR-1 process, but prepared to explain the first two K-1 petitions and why your relationship with your hypothetical spouse is different.
Best of luck on girlfriend number 3.

Having so many past visa applications is going to be a decently noticeable red flag at the very least. Slowing down and taking a break before jumping into another foreign relationship is highly recommended, beyond just avoiding a mess with how your petition is going to be looked at and your chances of getting approved.
Multiple failed serious relationships within the frame of just a few years isn’t something to just ignore and keep pushing through. The way you seem to make it sound like it’s always your partner’s fault that these things fall apart is pretty telling. The apparent requirement that your partner be someone from outside your country is also... not great?

This thread actually reminded me of my favorite type of user on VJ (other then all the terrible women ofc!).
Middle age and older dudes who import girlfriends half their age or younger to the US because their aren’t attractive or rich enough to find American sugar babies.
Then they are here posting again a few month after the wedding asking how to cancel their AOS, pull their sponsorship and have them wives because they dared have an opinion on something or are “acting up” or “misbehaving”.
(Those quotes are actual quotes btw)
Anyway, good luck. Hopefully whoever is handling your case is less judgmental than me! ❤️

What's wrong with the dating scene? Millions of single people every where.
I think you're probably on the bench for a couple years regarding a K1. Maybe go the marriage route with the next one if you're dead set on marrying a foreigner.

Yes, Leslie. If you were not born in USA (like me) and changed your name, your birth certificate is necessary.
I added both my naturalization certificate and my U.S. passport. On principle, Better more than sorry😉
