Hi,

My I-130 was approved last week, and I have not received anything from the NVC. So, this is what I have done so far...

Completed the I-864EZ form

Completed cover letter for I-864EZ

Copies of my last three years of W2 tax forms

Copies of tax return transcripts

Copies of pay stubs for the last 6 months

Question: Do I need to prepare for anything else right now?

Since you're the petitioner (I assume you're the one posting this), there isn't much more that you need to do; however, you should ask the beneficiary to gather their supporting documents in the meantime. You can go here for all the necessary documents they/you will need to submit to the NVC (in addition to your supporting docs):

- https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/collect-and-submit-forms-and-documents-to-the-nvc/step-5-collect-supporting-documents.html

Remember, if he had lived in more than two countries, he'll need a police report from ever country he has lived since he was an adult for more than 12 months. Also make sure if there are divorce in his past, he has to submit the divorce decree (not the nisi).

You're welcome. Ohh, one last thing, make sure you scan all documents right side up (meaning, when you look at the docs on the computer using Adobe PDF, you can read them from left to right). If the are scanned horizontally, as in side ways (where you'd have to twist your head clock-wise to read them), NVC will reject them and that can delay your processing.

I found a sample online and I think there is one here on the VisaJourney website... it just lets the receiver know what you are providing within the documents. Please view below.

Hiii were on the same boat! Got approved last week 9/25. I also started gathering up what I can for now. From what I’ve been seeing it’s taken others like 2 weeks to get sent out to NVC I guess I’ll wait another week before calling?

Yes, my job is completing my employment letter, I already have my IRS transcripts and cover letter. You are right, I see that others are getting the NVC notices in about 1-2 weeks. When I called the USCIS they said that everything is sent by air mail. With all the advancements in technology, I thought they would be sending our documents electronically to the NVC

Congrats on you approval!!!!!!!!

Haha seriously! I guess we’ll give it a couple more days. Do you know if tax transcripts from other years are enough without their w2s?  And thank you congratulations to you too!! 🥳🥳🥳
