I got 3 separate letters (one each for the I-485, I-131, and I-765). They are all Form I-797C. The lady at the DMV knew what they were and only wanted the I-797C for the I-485. I had all three originals and copies with me though.
 
The length of validity is a concern for me, too. I'm hoping to get a DL for a year but I'll take whatever they give me. My mother-in-law is picking me up in an hour and I hope to be out of there by 5pm lol. More soon!

I didn't apply for a driver's licence within the 90 days. However, I did 6 years ago when I was a student on an F1 visa. I had a Virginia licence back then for 2 full years (the entire time I lived in Virginia as a student). So maybe having a Virginia licence in the past will help me. *fingers crossed*. I can still log onto my account and they knew I had a VA licence previously (obvisouly in my maiden name).

They've sent it to the main office in Richmond. Did the same thing to us. But the lady said that we should have answer within 1 hour.
Went for lunch and 45 minutes later got text message that it was approved. We went back to DMV (in Sterling) and the same lady started proceeding my wife's paperwork. Then she said, "Oh, we can't do it. Now she has new name and her SSN is in the old name". So I've told her to do it in her old name, but she said that the system has her with her new name now. I was pissed to no end. Wasted 3 hours for nothing.
Now my wife has EAD and new SS card, but we wont go back until she get's her GC. I don't want to deal with those incompetent workers again.

Yeah, that's the way to go. It's still you, and you have a bunch of other IDs (Canadian ID/driver license and passport) to back that up.

I never thought a federal building office would be open on a black Friday. I am defeinitely thankful for that. I also found a resource from USCIS on historic average processing times for various applications; I thought of sharing the link just in case anyone is interested in looking at it.

I did not submit the form to get notified via text. However,  the immigration check was cashed on a Wednesday and I received the receipt notices via mail on the Saturday of the same week. 

I got the USCIS text notifications late last night!! Now to wait for the NOA1s in the mail
 

Just an update! Received my NOA1 letters in the mail for the adjustment of status and EAD. I added my G-1145 form so I'm confused as to why I didn't get any mail or text updates.

NOA1: 6/11/2019

Finally got the texts for all my applications(130/485/765/131) and checks encashed this morning from my account . Thank God.
Mailed 10/14, Received 10/16, Receipts 11/14.

I got the USCIS text notifications late last night!! Now to wait for the NOA1s in the mail

Your NOA 1 will be as of the received date even if issued later

What you say makes sense, except as the OP stated, she hasn't received her AOS NOA1 receipt yet, see highlighted phrase above in first quote box. As a result, at this time she has no documentation currently in her possession attesting to the assertion that she has filed for AOS. She will likely be OK. However, due to the prez's recent executive order for "enhanced immigration enforcement," you never know where the ICE agents and CBP officers may be lurking to detain some undocumented foreign alien. I have a personal opinion about this executive order nonsense, but I will just leave it at that. Without her AOS NOA1 (corroborating documentation of legal status) in her immediate possession, the OP risks being detained until the situation is sorted out.

Update: I HAVE MY VISAS!!! 


I woke up this morning to a notification from Canada Post saying that there was an issue with my address and they're working on sorting it out, and my package won't be delivered until the 13th! 
So I immediately called and they told me they're working on it and it could take up to the 16th to get my package delivered! 
OH HECK NO! 
So I emailed the executive support person at Canada Post (the highest up on the chain of command) who had done the investigation the first time, and she immediately called the Mail Depot in my town and made them go and locate my package and bring it to the front. The depot called me and said they have the package and asked if I would like to go and pick it up, so I said I would be there asap. 
While I was there, the consulate had emailed me because they noticed the an issue with the tracking as well. 
I picked up and signed for the package, and opened it right there in the post office to make sure everything was complete. Not 10 minutes after I signed for it, I received an email from both the consulate AND Canada Post's Executive support asking me to confirm that I received it because they saw it was picked up. I confirmed and thanked them both for tracking my package the entire time along with me and had such fast responses. 

I AM SO FREAKING HAPPY AND RELIEVED!!
