Let me tell you briefly, you are not allowed to pay fees without receiving the packet 3, and you better schedule interview after you receive the p4 email. 
Be patient and wait, once you receive P3, everything speeds up.

Like others, Nik and I have struck out when trying to find (or even get to talk to someone!!) a CS who will transcribe the vaccinations without charging an arm and a leg.
I know there are some of you out there who have had some luck finding a CS who doesn't rip you off, but the experiences are scattered all over the place. Also, as was mentioned in another thread, maybe it's time the VJ community got together and used our experiences in this aspect to help each other out.
I think a pinned thread with a summary post every now and again is the best way, but SunDrop is trying something different - hopefully we can combine our collections!!

They only charge $40 for transferring vaccination record and filling out Form I-693. No medical exam.

In today's world, many, many new spouses never change their name.  There is certainly no legal requirement to do so.  In our case, it has made things so very much more simple for my wife to keep her name (maiden name).  However, I can certainly understand a person choosing to do either.

We just had our interview at Louisville KY on Friday. 
 
When the IO asked for proof we live together, I showed her a document from work with my wife and her daughters added to my insurance. She didn’t take it. I had 2 medical bills for the youngest daughter addressed to my home. That was perfect for her.

Hi guys, an update, my case changed to AP this afternoon. Guess I will receive packet 3 within few days.
FYI, I waited 20 days for my case to change to AP from READY.

For those of you K-1 applicants, please make sure the I-693, Report of Medical Exam and Vaccination Record, that Chinese medical center using is the current edition dated 10/19/2017.  If Part 9, vaccination record was not checked "all requirements met", you will have to go to a civil surgeon, after you enter U.S., to pay about $300 to have this portion checked.  You can request the Chinese doctor to give you all required shots for an immigrant, even though you will enter as nonimmigrant.  Some Chinese medical centers are still using the old edition.  Also, the instruction for I-693 has been revised too.  

I had my interview today and I got APPROVED!! 👏🏾😁💃🏾

Hi guys, sorry to tell you this information, from the several people I know who just received their P3 packet recently, the range they waited for the packet 3 is from 3 weeks to 40 days after the Guangzhou consulate received their case. 
 
So, be patient. Start prepare your relationship evidence, the I-134 form and supporting documents, the DS-160 and etc... make yourself busy, time flies...

She'll lay it on the counter, in front of the Visa Officer, to make sure that they know you're present.
 
American citizens are allowed in the Consulate at ANY time, upon presentation of your passport. Unfortunately, SHE will have it with her - just wait outside. Although it IS possible to co-mingle with the visa applicants, you generally won't be able to anyway, and will NOT be allowed to be present at the interview.

Calling is first, email is second and then snail mail. But you have to register your email with askNVC.gov. Details are on the first page of this thread.

The object of showing communicate is to demonstrate to the CO that you are still a couple and that you communicate on a regular basis since the inception of your relationship. So, all you need is a sprinkling from each month for the time period you desire. That's it. The interviewing CO doesn't spend a lot of time looking at your evidence other then to scan and ascertain that the relationship is genuine. You can spend hours trying to make it work your way.
