Just Paul got a reaction from geowrian in RFE for I-485, what's wrong?
Some post on here I said we took 18 months of statements to the Consulate (DCF). Inch think, double sided and bound. They still asked for me to come back to explain. It helped I had other assets like houses, etc.
OP:hopefully you have proof going way back . . . for a few years . . .if you are claiming cash.

Just Paul got a reaction from JulianaSteve in Question regarding cancelled tourist visa
LOL A new one? That is a waste of time and money. The US will know the moment she applies that she had a cancelled visa.
Just apply for the spousal visa.

Some couples with the same timeline have already completed the interview however our attorney wont budge until they have the instructions. If I wouldn't have called we would have waited for months.

Just Paul got a reaction from Dreaming Dreamer in Overstayed K1 Visa after marriage (left voluntarily)
It doesn't matter on the I-130. It might help on the waiver - you getting approved makes it easier to have a relationship with her father.

The more you want it to work the less the chance of ot working in immigration.
Do nothing until you have the visa in hand and have verified it is CORRECT.

Just Paul got a reaction from Naija1960 in CAN WE APPLY FOR CANADA VISA WHILE WAITING FOR THE US BAN ON NIGERIA TO BE LIFTED
I never said it would be approved.
When you apply for Canada Tourist visa make sure you say that you were denied a US B2. US and Canada share info. My wife had the same denial but still got a Canadian Visa. She was also denied a Mexican Visitor but now she has a green card for the US and Mexico.

Just Paul got a reaction from MSK4 in K3 visa is it a good idea?
Finally an immigration lawyer not trying to collect extra hours. Not sure I buy the reasoning.
OP if you want to file the I-129F it is free to do so and you can do it on your own. I don't think it will help. But it is free.

Just Paul got a reaction from little immigrant in Form I-485 Denied
Unfortunately a denial is just that. Once you get the petition back, figure out what is wrong or missing and then you get to refile it.
Did you file for EAD/AP as well?
Denied is just like not filing = you are out of status. Find the story on here of the lady last year that was a passenger in a car accident and spend a few weeks in jail.

Just Paul got a reaction from sonicview in tax year confusion
Taxes aren't due until april 15th. Take transcripts to the interview for the years that you have and a tax return if you can't download a transcript.

There are no "chances" in Immigration. Fill the I-130/I-130A to get ball rolling. Once you interview and the CO says to file a waiver, hire an attorney to file or review the waiver. 601s are not that difficult for an overstay. An attorney may be worth the costs for a waiver. It needs to be written strongly.

If you are an FB3 holder and not naturalized, you are not eligible for a K1 visa.

You have to file the petition first. You will have plenty of time to do the waiver.

He files an i-130 package for you and after the interview he files the I-601 waiver.
