Just Paul got a reaction from haiderzaidi in Parents Visa
They apply for a tourist visa based on their own merit.

Just Paul got a reaction from Crazy Cat in Applying for a temporary visa to live with my wife (beneficiary), while our visa process continues
You, the petitioner, can live anywhere. Just be aware of the (your) domicile requirements for her visa to be issued. Since it is temporary, you should not have any issue. Look at the domicile requirements in the instructions of the I-864 form.

You can't file the petition. Only an US citizen can.

Just Paul got a reaction from Brazil/US2018 in **TRAVELING WITH ADVANCED PAROLE NOWADAYS??**
The point he was making is that only citizens are guaranteed back into the US.
A holder of AP or GC isn't typically denied re-entry except in very very rare cases. If there is an issue a referral can be made to see an immigration judge.
I had someone who went back home to visit for a few months and her husband pulled the I-864 and filed for divorce while she was gone. She found out at the POE. She was allowed to re-enter and then had to file an I-360 petition . . .
If you are absolutely paranoid about being refused re-entry then you will need to wait until you become a citizen.

Poor advice from a lawyer. Take a copy to the interview with all of the attachments. Take anything that would have been sent to the NVC with you to to interview. Including a copy of the documents that established the petitioner's ability to file DCF.

Just Paul got a reaction from Penguin_ie in Birth of child, visa tourist expiring soon and nvc process just beginning
The problem is that you are not guaranteed entry nor are you guaranteed to be able to be admitted for 6 more months . . .
Hypothetical POE:
IO - purpose of your trip?
Fr0210 - to see my wife give birth.
IO - Congratulations. WHen is she due?
Fr0210 - next week.
IO - I see you were here for 6 months and just left (he realizes you are living here and not a tourist). I will allow you entry for 3 weeks and you need to get the correct Visa.
They could also deny you entry. Being gone for two weeks after being here for 28 weeks isn't enough to reset the clock. You should be out of the US for a period longer than the time you were in the US. Also note that going to Mexico, Canada or the Carribean does not reset the clock at all.

Just Paul got a reaction from Greenbaum in Please write your NOA1 and NOA2 dates, so it will be easier for us to know how soon our case will be ready
Just go up to the Blue Bar and select Immigration Timelines and you can search all you want.

Just Paul got a reaction from jd_malachi in Received NOA2. Should I Send Documents Now?
Slow it down. Don;y do extra work or make mistakes. Like, police reports are only valid for a year. If your interview is after 4/15 they will want the 2019 tax returns. File the tax returns at the end of next week and then you can get transcripts.

Just Paul got a reaction from JuJu83 in Confused about DS 260
I haven't had any issues in google chrome. I'd advise keeping a copy of your travel and work history in a separate document that you keep updated as these questions also come up if you apply for other visas or in other processes.

You can certainly request that from the consulate. Are you working abroad? It's free to ask. If you are just going back to your old job that won't be considered.
I-485 isn't needed for consular processing. If you are thinking she can move there with the intent to adjust then she will be committing visa fraud.

LOL A new one? That is a waste of time and money. The US will know the moment she applies that she had a cancelled visa.
Just apply for the spousal visa.

Maybe by the time you are Canadian the situation can change.
Update NVC if the still have the file or wait for the file.
Interviews are still continuing. Technically the CO can recommend a waiver. The CO can also change the passport during the process.
