Baby girl was born June 15th at 7:12pm. I got maybe a minute of skin-to-skin with her before she was taken away and off to the NICU because she was struggling to breath. They had her on CPAP and within two hours of birth was breathing regular air just fine. After that, they came up with "low blood sugar" and "she's not feeding on her own" to keep her there longer. After a full day and a half of that I told the nurses that if they wanted to keep saying she wasn't feeding on her own they needed to stop feeding her through her NG tube and let me try feeding her to see if she was truly not feeding on her own. Once they stopped doing that her blood sugar normalized and she could eat on her own. Amazing how that works... She was discharged from the NICU less than 24 hours later.

Talked to my dad today (via text) for the first time in years. He had a stroke last Saturday and had to have an operation on his carotid artery. He can't talk and isn't eating or drinking yet but does feel better.  He's planning on retiring (he is 64.) He had a major heart attack in 2009 that I wasnt informed about until months later at my sisters graduation. He has to have another surgery on the left side. I'm not sure how I feel. I dont want him sick, or to be in pain, or to die, but I'm a little apathetic since we don't communicate. I made sure to tell him to to give my phone number to my step mom in case they need something. I doubt she'd call me if he died but at least I know he has the info.
 
Dog has a cardiology exam tomorrow to see if he's healthy enough to get his teeth cleaned.  Funny that. 
 

Sunday/Father's Day report, see man:
 
Plans were to take Mini-B. to the first Burger King where we went on Father's Day, we with wee man.
However, Mrs. T-B. wanted to take Mini-B. scootering beforehand with his little amigo, scoot she with he man.
 
The plan was for about half an hour of that, plan man.
They indeed returned at about that time, adhere to plan man.
However, Mini-B. was screaming bloody murder, scream we man.
 
We asked Mrs. T-B. what had happened, we ask she man.
Mini-B. had fallen from his scooter and bloodied his knee & elbow, open joint account wee man.
 
We & Mrs. T-B. dressed the wounds, A&D ointment first at hand man.
Mini-B. then went into "drama king" mode, beef moan death's door wee man.
Furthermore, it began to rain like Noah needing an Ark, downpour man.
So much for the best-laid plans of mice and men and monkeys, oh well man.
 
Mini-B. spent the rest of the day on the sofa, watching videos, couch-potato wee man.
This (in)activity was punctuated by dramatic yowls of pain during any movement, dramatic wee man.
 
We subdued Many (2+2) laundry loads and even got a nap, zzz we man.
At Many (2+1) p.m., we set forth on errands just as a second monsoon monsooned, how dry we aren't man.
 
We used an expiring-today coupon for Many% (2x2x2x2x2-2%) off at CVS, timing is everything man.
We bought a Many-inch (2x2x2x2+2+2) air-circulator fan at Aldi on sale, save we man.
We found disposable gloves at Harbor Freight, requested by the Ecus man.
 
At Many (2x2x2-1) p.m., Mrs. T-B. left for din-din out with an amiga, socialite she man.
We readied Mini-B. for bed, melodramatic wee man.
Mini-B. noted goop dripping from his knee-bandage, observant wee man.
We said that the solution was to replace both bandages with better medicine, loudly objecting wee man.
 
We quickly perused our Many00 boxes of bandages in our closet, Collected for Reason man.
We found appropriate sizes, prepared we man.
Mini-B. went aysheep at idea of "ripping off" knee-bandage, out-freaking wee man.
We mollified him by noting the better (pain-relief) ointment for new bandage, logic man.
 
Mini-B. pleased by technique & thoroughness of medical procedures, impressed wee man.
Range of motion of both limbs also improved, impressed wee man.
We then gave Mini-B. 2 teaspoons of Juvenile Tylenol to slurp, slurp he man.
We then read Many (2x2x2x2x2-2) pages in Diary of a Wimpy Kid--the Getaway, read we to wee man.
 
Mrs. T-B. came back within 2 hours, return she man.
Mini-B. modeled his new bandages, objectively impressive work by we man.
Mrs. T-B. seemingly pleased, seemingly pleased she man.
Mrs. T-B. then took over duties of sleepenizing Mini-B., zzz wee man.
Showing fatherly love to our son was even better than taking him to BK (with coupons), conclude we man.

You don't have to change diapers on the older ones, though. 🤣

Boy #3 tested positive for Covid after a coworker tested positive. He's high risk heart issues. His symptoms so far were sore throat and sinus congestion, those have past and now he has no sense of taste. He will not be coming home as he is very worried about me and the Jedi. 

Not sure really. He moved out to Seattle about a 1 1/2 ago with his fiance.
He barely kept in touch as it was and had to always reach out to him. Then one day out of the blue he messages me says he's not depressed and doing well but he is just really really sad (yes the very meaning of depression) said he split from his fiance and he was doing ok he was not suicidal or anything like that but that he can't stand to be around us. I tried to explain that his sadness was depression and he got pissed at me said he doesn't like the way pills make him feel. I told him he doesn't have to take pills but having someone to talk too can be good and help. He doing some plant base diet and looks like the walking dead. But he had to go off on all of us messaging his brother and sister said they can't be siblings but maybe he can have them as friends??? Said that he can't stand to be around us but later on when the Jedi is older he wants to have a relationship with him because he likes the Jedi and how smart he is. I'm thinking to myself like sure you like the one kid who really doesn't know you. He moved out when the Jedi was like 18 months and has barely seen him. 
 
I don't know what is going on and he cut all of us out of his life. Maybe the break up is what triggered this and it's worse with the 2nd oldest getting married in December. Who knows, all I get to do is wait and hope.

Strongly suggest you avoid getting involved in what seems a disaster in the making.

Marriage for the sole purpose of gaining immigration benefits is visa fraud.......I wouldn't recommend it.

There is no fiancé visa for a greencard holder. First your friend should find someone to marry- WHether it’s a greencard holder, a US citizen or someone from their country... and then come back here to figure the process out because right now with the info you provided it sounds like your friend is greencard shopping ...

Made the drive today from SW Missouri to my daughter in central MS... baby’s been acting like he/she is ready to be born very soon .. their 3rd child .... her second  home birth .. our 7th grandchild ...  this is when moving 12000 miles is worth it !
