The Rant Thread.  Circa 2013.

Tell us your gripes, fears, hopes.  (And we'll quickly put you down.)

Tell us your deepest, darkest desires.  (We will return you to reality)

All are welcome -- chew the fat here, pass the time.

A brief history of this thread: it started off as a place for VJers to rant, vent, talk.  It has evolved into an everyday friendly (and rude) conversation.

THE RULES of the thread, from the undersigned.

1.  We like each other here.  So don't be a jerk.
2.  No Facebook links.
3.   This thread is not for debates, not for fighting.

4.   This is a conversation.  Keep it light-hearted.
5.   If you see antagonists, just put them on ignore.
6.   If you think that your stinkiness don't stink, please stay out.
7.   Not everyone on the planet is going to agree with you, so don't push issues.
8.   Please don't push your political and religious beliefs here.
9.   If you don't like the people here, please don't post here.  VJ is full of other threads.

10.   Please don't post anything that'll link anything to your identity.  We've had problems in the ancestral threads.

11.   Have a sense of humor; don't be such a stiff.  Remember?  Humor?

Don't take anything personally; half of the stuff said here is just jive (In the case of T-Bone, it's 100% jive).

From SAT, the OP.

This thread is politically incorrect.  Come in, come in, rant away.  Let us tell you how to suffer.  Let us make fun of you. We're rude and crass. Business, all business!

Are you unwell, did you do yourself an injury?

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I've finally come to terms I can't keep the ducks. I love them and they are great and the eggs are great but I can't give them the care and attention they need. I just posted them on MeWe. Hopefully I can sell them all together.

Hmmmph, man.

It was seemingly our turn to start the new thread, hmmmph man.

The old one wasn't Many00 pages yet, tempted-although-appropriately-restrained we man.

If this one ever reached Many00 pages, we think that it is our turn, hmmmph man.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

Man I'm glad that Christmas is over.

This is the busiest holiday I've had in years. It's because of me, having to pick up the slack for the 2 guys that left.

It was nuts I tell ya.

I did a little battle with home depot over 2 bucks. But I won lol. It was the principle...

Next, shop for a new tree. Finally found a replacement for my tree after a few years of looking for it, it's a "sequoia pine", very realistic, but it's very expensive, and no one has it on sale. Maybe I'll take on restringing the lights, upgrading to LED?

Hello VJ peeps!! We're back from frogland where it rains, but no trains this Christmas season. It was a stressful and hectic trip, the wedding was "interesting", the bride was beautiful and the F. of B. was very handsome in his new Hugo Boss suit. S.M of B. not so gorgeous, bad hair do and funky fake eyelashes. Did you know that you need to be able to see to glue those puppies on straight?? Now we get to do this again in March for daughter #2's wedding. Oy vey!!!

Good news . . .  Frenchie's 10 year GC was approved without interview and the new card was waiting for us when we got home. I hope everyone had a safe and joyous Christmas and wishing you all the best for 2020.
