They don’t even want a joint sponsor and an affidavit will change their mind?

You don't have to worry. It can be overcome by writing an affidavit on both sides that you will not become a public charge.
When did you start your process??
    Cr1 or Ir1 ???

I like the setup but just don't understand why Janurary unapproved would be removed from view. Previously there were many listed.

    Update!

The I-130 application of my dad for my stepmom submitted in February 2020 was just approved 12/12/2020!!! We filed it online and the receipt notice indicated CSC so we were following the timeline for CSC which should've been 15-20 mos. wait time. However, when we received the approval, the notice indicated Nebraska Service center, and we did not receive any notifications that there had been a change in service center. Just want to share this with you guys, might happen to you as well so stay positive!

What does the lawyer say?  I am sorry that this happened, but sadly you are not the only one.  The cardinal rule of Visa Journey - always tell the truth.

    Good luck

There’s an awful lot of approved I-130 petitions out there without gc issuance (millions) .... that’s a massive influx of migrants with no public charge rules attached... some people have severely petitions pending gc how the heck petitioners meant to financially support them in them while waiting gc..... EAD? Lots of completion for jobs at a time when many Americans hurting

I wish I was talking about COVID, but it’s nearly as huge because we finally have our completed CR1 visas !!

I can still remember starting this tortuous nightmare of a journey in July 2019 when I filed the first set of documents with USCIS via post in Chicago and here we are 16 months later permanent resident visas in hand.  As I scan across all these threads it brings back so many memories, “how long will it take”, “how do I upload files”, “police certificate has problems”, “unsure about photos”, “how do I expedite” etc etc etc - they aren’t good memories, this is a struggle of hard work, expense, and above all patience.  Just a personal theory, but I honestly think the US uses this process to weed out those with weaker relationships by forcing them to live apart for over a year and seeing if they can make it, I find myself wondering how many couples split due to the enforced separation and the “consequences” that can result in, especially for a young couple.  Being apart is horrible as a newlywed, and the immigration process is badly in need of an overhaul when it forces couples to be apart for so long.

For those of you currently standing in front of Everest in your carpet slippers and wondering how you will climb it - have faith, you will make it.

Take care everyone, and thanks for all the advice over the last 2 years.

    We had two reasons:
    - Because my husband, that lived with me abroad since we've been married got a job in the US with very little notice and had to leave basically one day to the other (this would even qualify you to do the entire process over the consulate)
