Answer all questions truthfully without volunteering what’s not asked for
”are you traveling to the US alone” yes
”do you know anyone in the US” yes (don’t have to volunteer what the relationship is)
“what is their relationship to you” boyfriend (don’t lie that he’s just a friend)

Reapplying a month later won't make a difference....besides which, your previous denial will be in your file and they will look back at the reasons for that, and most likely deny you again.

    Sorry this happened to you.

that won’t really help! just because u book a hotel it doesn’t automatically show them “oh a hotel, you won’t overstay your visa, there you have it”
    sadly it’s not that easy
highly likely  you will be denied again..

    Hello OP,
Let me take a few moments to explain what's happening here so that you better understand the reasons and don't think this is an Arbitrary decision.  The consulate officer is required by US Law to assume that when you apply for a tourist ( B2 ) visa that you actually intend to remain in the USA rather than leave as planned.  It is the responsibility of the applicant to prove that you have compelling reasons to LEAVE the USA.   Thus if you come from a country such as the Philippines you have a couple of factors working against you...  a) Many others from your country have come to the USA on tourist visas or other non-immigrant visas and not actually left the USA.  b) Typically the living standard in the Philippines is not (viewed the the eyes of someone in the USA) as high as in the USA giving incentive to stay.      In your situation specifically you have left your home country to work overseas in SG presumably to make more money than you could in the Philippines.  The perception on the part of the CO is that you could therefore make even MORE money in the USA  thus you have no reason to return to SQ and you've proven your willingness to leave the Phlipppines so it's hard to argue strong ties to the Philippines.
    -
Now, does this mean you can never get a visa to the USA?   No, definitely not.  In fact, the K-1 Visa is a visa that shows you INTEND to remain in the USA so for that visa you have to prove not that you have strong ties to your home country.  Your previous denials for a tourist visa have no negative effect (As long as you were completely honest on those applications).  So a BF visiting 5 times does make for a stronger K-1 case but honestly from the Philippines once is all you should need.   HOWEVER, a K-1 visa takes a lot longer to process ( 6 - 12 months) and cost a significant amount of money and requires you both to be free and willing to marry each other.  It is NOT appropriate for a 3 week visit.
    -
So in short, the only way you'll get a tourist visa to the USA is if your circumstances change such that you have a strong and compelling reason not to stay in the USA.  For example, if your were promoted to a position in Singapore where you were making more than 30,000 USD per year and that job could only be done in Singapore.   Or if your BF moved to the Philippines, took a job and residency and the two of you got married then maybe he would become your 'strong tie' to the Philippines (Even then you might well be denied).
    -
So, while there is a very small chance that you could get a tourist visa on a subseqent application the chances are tiny and in my opinion you'd be better off spending the money on something else.
    -
Bear in mind that if you do decide to take a vacation to someplace closer to him, say Mexico for instance that you must make sure that you don't have to change flights in the USA.  Unlike here in Asia where you can change planes and remain on the 'Air-side' of security and never enter the country where the airport is located it doesn't work that way in the USA.  So for example if you decided to fly from Singapore to Jamaica and had to change planes in Miami you'd be denied in Miami as you'd have to legally enter the USA to board your Jamaica bound flight.   So if you do that make sure you double and triple check that there is no possiblity that your plane will land in the USA (even for re-fuelling)
    -
Best of luck.   Have fun planning all the wonderful places you and your BF could spend a great vacation.   Sorry you won't have a chance to stay with him and meet his family.

You can meet somewhere else, like in Mexico if you want to get closer to the US.

If you reapply after 1 month you will get denied again because nothing on your application will change considerably. You have to wait at least one year to apply again.

You were denied under section 214(b) of the immigration act.

In essence, you're allowed to visit the U.S. on a B-2 visa for up to 180 days at a time if the following is true:
    1. You plan to leave within those 180 days.
    2. You won't work illegally.
    3. You won't study.
    4. You won't commit any crimes.

It doesn't matter whether you plan to visit Disneyland or your aunt, if the above 4 are true, you are considered a tourist and you will get a B-2 visa. The problem is that 214(b) requires the consular officer to assume that you're intent is to immigrate to the U.S. It leaves it up to you to show that you're not. They are not allowed to authorize a visa unless they're satisfied that you won't overstay, work, study or commit any crimes. That means that the moment you walk into the consulate, the officer interviewing you assumes that you'll get a job in the U.S. and never leave.

In your case, overcoming that assumption is harder because you have an American boyfriend. There is nothing illegal in that, but if they have reason to believe you'll get married and file for adjustment of status (which is 100% legal), then they can't admit you because you're not planning to leave within 180 days. Simple as that. Now, if for instance, your career in Singapore is one that would make it completely insane for you to want to leave everything behind and settle in the U.S., then they're going to be less likely to suspect you won't leave.

Think of the life you have in the Philippines/Singapore - Is there anything there that would it completely crazy for any normal person to want to come and stay in the U.S. instead?

Both roads will eventually require the I-864.  The sponsorship issue does not go away with the K-1.  The K-1 route is more expensive too and you can not work for 6 months.  That is a recipe for financial disaster.

Consider the CR-1 with a Joint Sponsor if money is an issue.

Both processes would take about a year.

Im not sure if i should create a new topic for this one.. bf's more inclined to consider k1 despite everything because of sponsorship issue. Since he aint financially stable at the moment, it would either be his mom or dad who would co-sponsor, which he's tryin to avoid. He doesn't wanna burden his parents with this. How long does it take for k1 and spouse visa to process under trump's admin nowadays? Given the fact that he's not very much in favor of immigrants?

The financial requirements for sponsors are the same for a CR-1 and a K-1 spouse at time of adjustment of status.  In addition, a Consulate Officer can require him to obtain a co-sponsor regardless if he can meet the K-1 sponsor requirements or if his income is unstable.  On average, as reported by other VJ members, the time from a K-1 submission to interview is approximately 9.8 months.  Currently, as reported by other VJ members, a CR-1 takes about 14 months.  President Trump's attempt to curb illegal immigration has no influence on the time.

We went for the K-1 Visa in 2016 because it was faster back then and because we didn't like the thought of being separated after the wedding, we wanted to start our life together immediately after the wedding.

If I were to go through a US immigration process today? I would put my "feelers" aside and go for what would make the most sense practically speaking - I would choose the CR-1 visa.

I have to say though, unlike the other K-1ers in this thread I absolutely LOVED not working for months. But that's just me being all lazy and sh#t.

I suggest going with the CR1 visa. It's less hassle and also money wise. As what was brought out earlier,it will help you get a job earlier and get a driver's license.

Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation.
    K-1
Slightly faster arrival in the US (currently about 3 months sooner)
        More expensive than CR-1
Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork)
Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 5-6 months)
Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 5-6 months)
Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period
Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed.

    CR-1
Slightly slower arrival in the US (currently about 3 months later)
        Less expensive than K-1
        No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required.
Spouse can immediately travel outside the US
Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival.
Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US
Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport.
Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.

The K1 visa is generally quicker but only by a few months, and in some cases they are taking the same amount of time as a CR1. If you both are wanting to marry now and then file for CR1 you will be able to work as soon as you get to the US and you won't need to go through AOS. It's dependent on your own situation, with a K1 you won't be able to work until you get EAD which can take up to 7 months. Just by the sounds of your situation, a CR1 may be more beneficial due to finances.

If your fiance doesn't meet the income requirements you will need a co-sponsor.

Applying just 1 month after the first denial will make you look desperate. But if you dont mind spending another $160 then do it and you will have 2 denials within 1 year. Give it a little more time and make him go to visit you. Maybe you guys can start a K1 visa later on if you both feel that is the route for you guys.

Yeah you’re too risky. Coming from a high fraud country and with reason to immigrate because of your bf. Not gonna happen any time soon or ever. Plan a visit somewhere. Shall you decide to get married and live in the US you can apply again but for immigrant visa.
