This is the least of the inaccuracies in the article, but it does reflect the author's understanding of immigration law (or lack thereof).  The concern appears to be about the "public charge" definition, although you wouldn't know it from the article itself.  Changes to this have been percolating for months, and have been discussed here, but they would NOT apply to citizenship applications, because there is no public charge bar to naturalization.  As for the effect on visas and adjustment of status applications, the devil is in the details, and the details aren't public yet.  If and when the proposed changes move forward, a notice of proposed rulemaking will be published in the Federal Register and there will be a 90-day period for public comment.  We can hopefully get a more thorough media analysis of it at that point, although I'm not holding my breath.  In the meantime, keep calm and carry on.

Only when I grew up, I heard the story from my cousin that auntie Mui lost her life to the heydays of cultural revolution, when every single wrong doing could land you in jail and every little mistake earned you a good beating.  Jeans in all the madness became a gesture of contradicting  supreme leader Mao and a symbol of supporting American Imperialism.
 
So her very friend and comrade stripped her and did the unthinkable and unspeakable in public.  My aunt couldn't take the humiliation and took her own life the same afternoon.
 
As years go by, all my families escaped communist China and landed in Hong Kong, Aunt Mui was gone, but she was never forgotten. 
 
And that is why I wore jeans, a indisputable symbol of Americanism at my oath ceremony, and if aunt Mui is above there somewhere watching over me, she knew I did it for her honour.

This is OP. Just a quick update. I submitted the case investigation to Ombudsman yesterday from the tip of this thread. While I was thinking it would take forever for Ombudsman to reply, I received a phone call from USCIS local field office today! What a miracle!!! 
 
They were very polite and said they received the package that I submitted to Infopass. I just need to bring 2 photos to an officer next Monday and then they will proceed with my case. Although I DID include the 2 photos in the package to Infopass (they were securely taped and placed on the top page), the photos were missing when delivered to their hands. They don't know why it happened. Again, they lost my stuff one more time... but at this point, I don't have much to complain as long as my case will be moved forward. (I have a thought about this missing photo thing. Could it be an excuse so they can verify my identity or something when seeing me in person....?)
