Amelmahbub07 got a reaction from Shariar Rahman in DOCUMENT REVIEW
You don’t need to worry about it as long as you have submitted every required documents. Just wait keep patience you will receive your DQ very soon In Shaa Allah. Due to Covid-19 NVC taking longer time to process cases.

Yeah I totally understood. He is practicing his application form, getting help from youtube and online to improve his English. He is also going to citizenship test preparation classes. Hope he will get through this time

I’m a little concerned that his not filing himself is also in part due to limited English, and if there is an error on your part filling in an answer (an example like this one where you also misunderstood what was being asked, and this is a very serious question to get wrong) he will not be able to speak enough English to be able to explain the mistake to the interviewer. What has he done to improve his English since his last test?

Kind of you to do this for a friend but for his sake, consider reaching out to the many community-based, or legal aid, organizations to help with this application. They are found all over the US and provide free citizenship services (applications, test preparation, language tutoring, etc.). Any google search in your area will list them.
There's no shame in not speaking or understanding English well but life gets more difficult with those limitations. Not to mention the added costs of reapplying and lost economic opportunities (better jobs, etc..)
Good luck.

Amelmahbub07 reacted to Steve&Anna in Stuck in a Citizenship question
A non citizen of the United States of America cannot claim (represent himself) to be a citizen. This is a big mistake that can make him ineligible to stay in the US. The same as voting in elections while not being a citizen. Applying to become a citizen is not the same thing as claiming to be one. Check the box ‘no’

Amelmahbub07 reacted to Nitas_man in Stuck in a Citizenship question
No unless he claimed to be a US citizen under some other circumstance. Applying for citizenship is not a claim of citizenship.

Applying to be a citizen is not at all the same thing as claiming to be a citizen. The answer is no. Why isn’t he filling in his own form out of interest? Why he fail the first time?

The wall would be there to keep out the people who couldn't be approved for a visa, thus they come here illegally. Some to find work, some to sell drugs, some to sell other people, some to be mules to bring drugs into the country, etc.....
The wall is greatly needed along the southern border

Nobody but DOS management would know the answer to this. They likely have funding for a while still, but if the shutdown goes on long enough then it could happen. I think at least one embassy has done this already.

Amelmahbub07 got a reaction from Jesus is Love in IS THIS NORMAL?
Its depends on Interview slot at Consulate or Embassy in chargable country. I mean its up to how busy they are. Some Embassy go backlogged. So after your case complete at nvc its all depend on foreign Embassy

Amelmahbub07 reacted to lummo in Email notification
Yes. Has the check been cashed? Or if credit card was used, does it appear on the online statement? If not yet, then still wait a couple of days.
Yes, that's normal.

Yes they will send your card to your mailing address. It could be anywhere within state. Its better if you update your mailing address with usps

Bring everything to the interview that might conceivably be asked for.
It is far better to have it and not need it than the converse.

Thread is moved from General Immigration Discussion to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves interviews.

Yes, you need it with you. A copy at the interview will suffice, the original isn’t required. You should also have copies of all relevant tax documents for the sponsor.

Amelmahbub07 reacted to SusieQQQ in No Interview Letter yet
You can’t just compare to “around the world”. Interview slots depend on embassy capacity. Dhaka is a busy embassy, so it’s harder for them to find new slots for newly current PDs. You can’t compare to some of the countries where they literally might do 20 or 30 immigrant visas a month and have no problem scheduling in new cases. It would probably be more useful to you to find a locally based forum and ask other local applicants how long it took them to be scheduled.

Nothing you can do right now because every consulate is different. I know waiting is really stressful, but we have no choice.

As long as your wife won’t get denied for single filling you don’t need to worry about it at all. Listen your cpa at least they know better than us. And nvc guys don’t bother this matter. You can assure you by calling them they really don’t care. And lastly i never heard some one questioned or rejected visa for this issue
