That's what I said in my last post. People from this region in Kenya are known to do things like this..embarrassing. It's a norm to them back there. And they brag about it openly. They end up carrying the same character abroad. Look at how elections are run in Kenya. Who wins and who holds the big posts..don't even look far.. look at the shenanigans of the last election. Current president, from same Kenyan region as this lady and journalist, ran against himself but still rigged elections. It was there for all to see. Just Google. But they were busy celebrating "victory.". Embarrassing.

Didn't need to read the story further.  The lady's picture and the reporter's name made me skim through the article. 
I am Kenyan. Certain things fly in Kenya but not beyond the borders. I know a place here in the States, somewhere in the East where these people make so much noise like they own the States. The Kenyan embassy there is a joke, run by the same individuals. Getting a simple document like a PP takes a year. Phone calls don't get answered as if they are paying tariffs. Read the few reviews on the embassy on Google. It is quicker to arrange for something to be done at home by coordination with a relative than get it done here.
I am not sure about this case. But I will take my chance and say that I won't be surprised if that Certificate of No Impedance to Marry was fake. My countrymen from this region (a certain part of Kenya) like fake stuff and bribing their way over literary everything, jobs, school, elections..name it. 
We need to do better.

I'm kind of shocked that you met a girl online only few months ago and you were willing to pay off her education in the US. Lol who does that? Makes it feel like the girl just wants an opportunity for free apartment and school in the US rather than actual marriage. Because that's what comes with K1 you know.
 
Anyway. You said you have "strong feelings for each others ". K1 visa is for people who are ready to get married and spend the life together. You sound like you're just in dating stage.  Dont think you understand the commitment that comes with K1 and AoS process. 
 
You also mentioned that you want "no pressure ". Well K1 and aos comes with lots of pressure and time crunch.

I really do not understand  why some people  say traditional marriage  is not marriage.  Then why are you keeping  someone's daughter? If it's not a marriage,  then you should  be open to her sleeping  with anyone. Right? 
 
Bottom line. Marriage is marriage. There is nothing  like keeping someone's daughter and enjoying  fruits till you meet someone else.

I think I know where the lie is: Two marriages were ongoing at the same time here. The second was entered to get a GC, divorce then bring the first spouse and kids to America. However, seems the individual found out that they will never petition for the first spouse with this GC as USCIS will know (The individual had to lie on the initial petition that they were “Single” but has later found out this was the end of any petition for the first spouse).

I’m I reading right? You got divorced but have spouse and children overseas all at the same time?
