We have first hand experience with police certificate from Saudi. Now wife lived there for a few years. You can not obtain a certificate from the kingdom if no longer reside there. DOS knows this and it was not required for our K1 interview at the embassy. Just our experience.

Husband was approved for the removal of conditions this month. They did not request an interview. We will file the N-400 in a few months.

Woodrow got a reaction from Leafgal in Canada Opens Border for Non-Essential Travel for Vaccinated Individuals
Just some recent experience info. Crossed this Sunday at Sumas WA. The Abbotsford-Huntingdon location. Used the ArriveCAN app which they noted after looking at our nexus cards. Only thing needed to see was our Covid tests which had done for free at CVS the previous Thursday. Only extra thing though, we were randomly selected for a day 1 take home Covid test. It had to be done within 24 hours of arrival and sent back within 48 hours of arrival. You must use the MS teams app, video both ways so they can walk you thru the process and see if you’re doing it right. All in all not too bad.

I realize all situations are different but didn’t need a SSN to be added to my utility accounts, open a bank account or get a drivers license. We also didn’t need it to be added to my health insurance or the lease at my apartment. Just applied for it on the EAD when filed for adjustment of status. I really don’t understand the urgency to run and apply for one.

We are going through the Seattle office also. Biometrics were done mid July. No updates on site. Still just shows finger print fee received.

Thanks for info on the marriage certificates. I think I will order mine just to be safe. (it is so odd ordering a marriage certificate for a marriage when I'm already divorced but like you said rather safe than sorry.) We wait so long in this process I don't want any of the wait to be caused by my neglect to get some paperwork.

    Hello everyone,

253 days since our NOA1. We were approved yesterday at the interview in Montreal.
Concerning the marriage certificates, we did bring them but were told by everbody was completely unnecessary. Which they were. Divorce certificates were needed and taken. Many of the documents listed on DS-160 just weren’t needed. But better safe than sorry.

I never waited for them to send me packet 3.

    Hello everyone,
just an update from a fellow August filer. We received our February 13th NOA2 approval in the mail and since then everything has been email. The Montreal Consulate seems to use the electronic processing which I feel has been faster at least in our situation. Our case number was provided by the NVC in less than two weeks. When signing up for our interview we were provided 2 dates to choose from. Both Wednesdays by the way. We now have our interview scheduled for the end of April and are super excited.

The help and and support we gained from reading this website has been invaluable.

    Thanks everyone.

It was very close if not exact. Started calling after a week. They told us to use prompt 5 instead of prompt 7 since we got a email that we were “expedited”. Think that had to with electronic processing. 🧐

So So happy today. It seemed like forever. As everyone here knows so well the waiting takes a toll.

    NOA1:  08/15/2017
    NOA2:  02/13/2018

The letter was postmarked the 15th. Just received it today in the mail. I did get advanced notice on my informed delivery email this morning but USCIS still shows received.

    Good luck to everyone.
