    Congratulations 😊

I have just received notification that a new card is being produced on I-751 so no combo interview for me.
Looks like USCIS Nebraska is getting stuck into April 2021 applications now.

Hope everyone waiting hears good news very soon 🥂

I’m sure we all get the emails every Sunday with an estimated approval time… so I get one today and I open the email to see “you were approved, congrats!” (I haven’t been approved, case is still showing received.)

So when I click on the link it links me to a whole different persons timeline on visajourney so I guess THAT person got approved and updated their timeline which generated the congrats email, but super weird that my email address links to his profile… right?!

Anyone had this happen? Attaching screenshots of the email and the members profile.

NicolaBolton87 reacted to yoda one for me in Moving my dog back to the UK
I went through the other way, UK to US, so there will be some differences however, if it helps I'll share some of my experience. I actually used a pet transport company for the process, apparently UK airports don't let you book personally, you have to use an agent? I also paid extra for them to handle booking his flight, his customs paperwork, and getting him to the correct part of the airport on the day of the flight as I had already left the country.

What I had to provide for the pet transport company was:
Proof of general vaccinations (kennel cough etc. the standard stuff you need if the dog is being kenneled) Proof of rabies vaccine dated at least more than a month before Fitness to travel certification (this was organised by the pet transport company who kenneled my dog the night before the flight. I could have had my own vet provide this, though) Measurements (the pet shipping company procured an appropriate size travel crate based on these I provided. Apparently airports are very stringent about correct size crates for pets for their safety) Photos of the dog from various angles for ID purposes His microchip serial number The pet transport company took care of any other paperwork - I didn't really see any of it until I collected my dog from the cargo area on the other side and had to sign for him to be released to me. I'll note that it was quite expensive, it cost more to transport my dog than it did to fly myself and ship my possessions, but it was absolutely worth it.

I would imagine that UK requirements are pretty similar, so I would think the above is a good starting point (even though I suspect it's all stuff you've already thought of!).

Thank you, I'm not looking for validation, just advice from unbiased parties. And I urge you to think carefully before telling others advice and direction cannot be found online. Myself and many others have been in contact and a support system for each other during the visa process (years now) solely because of this *very* message board. Please don't discount what may be beneficial for others just because it may not be for yourself

NicolaBolton87 got a reaction from Chancy in I’ve been here almost 2 years and I’m so unhappy
I felt like this was the only place I could really vocalize this, as we’ve all been through the same life changing move.

I moved from a small town in Somerset, UK in August 2018, so this August I will have been living in america for 2 years. I’m as depressed now as I was when I first moved out here. And I feel so angry at myself because I landed my dream job as an interior designer, I have a beautiful house, a perfect dog.. and on paper I have the life I always dreamed of. But I’m so unhappy. After all this time I still feel like an outsider. I don’t feel like I belong here or fit in. For some reason people don’t understand me half the time and it’s not like I have a particular accent. I miss England. A lot. I miss familiarity and I guess the feeling of being part of a community. It’s probably also worth mentioning that my husband and I have been having a lot of issues on and off since I moved out here so I feel completely alone. I don’t feel connected to him or like we’re in the same level in any way. So that doesn’t help.

I’m not entirely sure what I’m looking for by posting this here. Just.. understanding, I suppose.

    Thank you for reading ❤️

We had our GC interview on Wednesday and everything went well - the officer was very pleasant and all was pretty effortless. HOWEVER she asked us for 6 months off paystubs from my husband (USC) which we didn't have. I didn't see online anywhere that we would need these, and the interview letter said to bring paystubs "unless already submitted" - we already submitted some with our AOS package so I assumed we didn't need them.

Now maybe I'm the only one who didn't realize I needed paystubs but I was pretty thorough in my research and didn't see this anywhere, so it's just a little pointer to let people know - take 6 months worth of paystubs from your American partner!

I would honestly take more than what you think you need! Take 6 months paystubs from your sponsor, take paystubs from  your husbands job, even yours, too! I just so happened to take paystubs from my job (i've only been working for 6 weeks) and she asked me for them! It's not the end of the world if they ask you for something like that and you don't have it, as she just asked me to fax the paystubs through which I've done... BUT if you have everything they ask you for you won't have any delays.
