  1. Yup, we got a 2-year conditional GC. We got married in October 2018, so we'll have to do the whole removal of conditions bit as well, but we're USCIS-free for a while at least!
  2. Hey! Congratulations, by the way! πŸŽ‰ Our GC was delivered 9 days after the interview. We did have a long weekend due to Labor Day following our interview, so it probably took a little bit longer than it otherwise would have. That said, there isn't really a "set" or "standard" time that you should receive the GC after the interview is complete because immigration officers usually have to do some follow-up work on the case, post-interview. This is the reason why they can't confirm when you'll receive the GC. (I also think it varies based on the F.O.) If you don't have the GC in-hand within like 30 days after the interview, that's probably a reasonable time to inquire. However, I'd guess if everything went well, you may receive it within a week or two of the interview. Just keep in mind--nothing is standard with USCIS, so they don't usually confirm when you'll receive your GC in the mail. Fingers crossed yours will arrive soon! 🀞
  3. Woohoooooo! We received my husband's Green Card through the post today (just a day shy of his 1-year anniversary since moving the US!) We finally popped the bottle of champagne we've been saving since our wedding, and we're officially USCIS-free for quite some time! ...Now to start officially planing our trip back to England in over a year to visit family! πŸŽ‰ It feels pretty surreal that this day is finally here, and I'm so thankful for all the support and encouragement from you all. I'm still here rooting for anyone still waiting on EAD/AP and the GC. If anyone has any questions about anything, feel free to DM me! I may not be checking VJ quite so much for a while, but feel free to get in touch if you have any questions along the way, or just need someone to vent to. I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Good luck, everyone! 🧑🧑🧑
  4. Aw, that's so sweet and exciting that your mum is coming to visit for your interview! Good luck, and I know you guys will do great! 🀞 My husband's mum and sister came over from England for our interview as well--Definitely helped keep us calm in the days before the interview (plus they were here to celebrate when we heard it was approved!). The tracking info on my husband's GC says it's currently anticipated to be delivered today, so hopefully we'll have it in-hand today, and we can finally book our flights to England! I think it should be here by Monday at the very latest though, which is still soon! Keep us posted on how your interview goes, and feel free to let me know if you have any questions! Sounds like you'll also be USCIS-free soon too! πŸŽ‰
  5. Thanks, guys! Yes, Norwegian!! My husband flew from Gatwick to Austin with Norwegian last year when he came over before our wedding, and it saved him literally hundreds of pounds. We're definitely going to look into flying with Norwegian as soon as his GC is in-hand. (Definitely don't want to book anything until he's got his GC for sure!) The only trouble is that I've heard Norwegian stops flying from Austin like at the end of October, so we may have to see if we can fly to England on Norwegian, and then fly back to Nashville on a different airline... I know that sometimes ends up being even more expensive though. Ughhh! We'll figure it out somehow. πŸ˜‚
  6. Thank you so much! πŸŽ‰ Thanks so much! Yes, we're already starting to look for flights, haha. Hopefully the prices won't be too outrageous, but I have a feeling it's not going to be great. It'll be the first time he's been able to go back in a year, so it'll be worth it, though! 😊
  7. Yaaay! I just got the email that my husband's Green Card is being produced! I can't believe the wait is nearly over! πŸ˜±πŸŽ‰πŸΎπŸ₯‚
  8. Congratulations!!! I'm so excited for you guys! I keep checking our case status online since our interview yesterday, but it still says "Interview was Scheduled." Hopefully that'll change soon, and we'll have the GC in hand before too long! We're hoping to book a flight to England in October, so I'm really hoping we get the GC soon before flights get even more expensive.
  9. Thank you so much! I won't mind not having to deal with USCIS for a little while, haha. πŸ˜‚
  10. Thanks so much! We're very relieved it's over, and we're exhausted! I've been checking our case status this afternoon, but it hasn't changed from "Interview was Scheduled" just yet. I imagine our status could change overnight or tomorrow sometime. We'll see! Still no sign of EAD/AP, but hopefully we'll have the Green Card in-hand soon!
  11. Hey guys! We just had our AOS Interview this morning in Nashville, and it went really well! Our immigration officer didn't approve us on the spot, but she said so far everything looks good on her end. She was smiling, upbeat, and positive, so I'm hoping that's a good sign! If you're interested, feel free to read my review here: https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=26966 Good luck to everyone with upcoming interviews!!

  13. Thank you so much! I'm sure it'll probably be fine too, but it's just nerves since it's been nearly 2 years since we filed our K-1. Seems like a lifetime ago! There's a lot riding on this interview considering we never got our EAD/AP! Looking forward to hopefully being done with USCIS for a while! πŸ˜‚
  14. We finally have our AOS interview at the Nashville F.O. tomorrow morning at 8:15 AM! We didn't get much sleep last night, and I can pretty much bet we won't tonight either (especially having to be there so ridiculously early!), but we're very much looking forward to getting this over with, haha. Hopefully we won't have any more last minute panic attacks... I'll post a full review once we're done! Stay tuned...
