BluesDancer got a reaction from little immigrant in AOS denied: Overstayed Visa: Penalty leaving within and past 30 days
She is just playing with my head. I am going to take everyone's advise and completely disconnect from her.

If she would have been patient and loving, instead of threatening me, the AOS would be signed and lived happily ever after. I even forgave her for threatening me the first time and agreed to process. She made the choice to continue threatening, her loss.

Thank you everyone's support and insights. Very helpful. God Bless!

@geowrian Can you send me a message? It says you cant get any...

@BluesDancer I read both your threads. The only way your ex is going to get a GC is to file a false abuse claim. DO NOT EVER ever EVER be alone with this woman. She can very easily fake an injury and accuse you of domestic violence. Only meet with her in public places if you absolutely must meet her. Always make sure a trusted witness is around.  Do not worry if she pursues a mental abuse VAWA claim- it will not impact you in any way. Be strong in the divorce and do not allow any wording in suggesting you were abusive to her.

Fear is a lot more effective and cheaper than any actual action she could even try to pursue.

Sounds like she's getting the VAWA route

Like others said, seems she's trying to scare you into AOS. I would follow all the advice you got in the previous thread and don't let her trick you into anything.

    Either:
    A. She's lying; or
    B. Her "lawyer" is giving BS advice.
Just divorce, and only contact her through lawyers. Re-read your other thread for reference.

Sounds like she's trying to scare you into getting her way. Even if she did try to file the AOS paperwork, it would just get rejected without you providing the Affidavit of Support. Not to mention she needs $1200 to pay for it also.

I remember reading your previous thread. File for divorce and cut off all contact with her (except through lawyers, if/when necessary). No point in dragging this out and allowing her to make empty threats.

    "immigration" will not be calling.

Your wife cannot file for AoS without you submitting an I-864 affidavit of support on her behalf.

That is a matter for the divorce hearing judge to decide.

    Sorry it didn’t work out.

I will chime in that to cover yourself, you’ll want to maintain distance from her.  Document anything that happens & call the police if she shows up.

Most importantly, file for a divorce.

You cannot "send her back" as she isn't a package or your property. You CAN divorce her & completely cut ties with her, though.

I agree with @Ben&Zian.   I would stay away from her......Her best chance of remaining in the US is to find a reason to claim abuse....and that could get you into big trouble.

File for divorce. Move on. You won't be impacted by it at all honestly. What she chooses to do is on her, not you. She knows she needs to leave because she is out of status, and if she doesn't, it's on her. She knows you're the only one who can help her adjust so. Divorce, and just keep away from her and protect yourself. Trying to "force" her to go home might backfire in some sort of abuse claim, so again just stay clear or her.

The interview is not difficult if you know your fiance well, smile a lot, be confident in your answers, have all your paperwork organized and easy to access when requested. I wish you the best with your interview. God bless.

This response to your question is probably way too late, but I scheduled my interview first and then CFO seconds later after scheduling the interview. My Filipina's POE was crazy because of the plane crash at Manila airport the day before. Things have settled down and she is save and sound in the USA now.

My fiance is stuck at the airport in Manila now since this morning. 4 hour delay and not likely make the connecting flight in Taipei. So many people there and so many flights cancelled. She is very emotional as this is first time leaving the country. Wish i was there with her. Please pray for all of those in the same situation that we are in right now. 😢
