Did you mean a June 2017 NOA2?  No one from last month would even be close to having that yet, even expedites......

Someone on the June 2018 129-f thread states he got NOA2 < one month from NOA1.  23 days!!  How does that even happen?  He says it was not expedited, but just very well organized and front-loaded?!   I am genuinely confused.

Or - maybe the officer thought it was from June 2017.  There are still folks waiting from that long ago.   In any case, it is strange and a bit disheartening to those in or near the 200+ club....

Im not sure i believe but in this process, i have learnt anything is possible. Maybe an officer picked up the file in error thinking it was a January file since July starts with a 'J' as well.  😁
It is humans who process these cases, we all make mistakes. Or maybe the user is not sure what they received but it could be possible.

Photos would show you together, but putting a verifiable date on a photo is the issue. Photos are generally considered secondary evidence of meeting in person within the 2 years. Primary evidence such as the passport stamps,, boarding passes, receipts, etc. put a date and location together.
The letter of intent to marry has nothing to do with the 2 year meeting requirement. It's a separate requirement being addressed.
I only sent a 2 photos of us together with the I-129F, and I don't think either of them were necessary since the primary evidence provided was more than sufficient for showing the 2 year meeting requirement (and frontloading wasn't needed for my now-wife's embassy).

***Update for anyone interested in this thread***

My fiance got through to a very helpful tier 2 officer who advised that, yes, a NOID would be sent. However, there is the chance for us to fix this if we submit everything as requested. (Thank our lucky stars)

Most interestingly a NOID has not yet been printed or sent, so no idea where the other tier 1 and tier 2 got the 7th of July from?!?

We will receive this decision officially by Aug 9th (a response to our "out of processing" request) and then we can submit the evidence in accordance with what the NOID states.

So all in all, everything is not lost!!! I am so thankful and I am really grateful for all of the help and support that everyone has provided me/us with today.

Thanks again! and let's hope we can finally move forward. If this new information turns out to be questionable then who knows but, for now at least, I feel like we are getting somewhere.

Extensions (and even long periods of approved stay) can be met with scrutiny, because tourist visas are meant to be used for vacations, not to reside in the US.

Where in the States will you be living?  Cost Plus World Market is a chain located on the West Coast for sure (it started in California I believe), but I don't know if it is in other regions.

I am not English, but I lived there for a year (30 years ago!  LOL), and sometimes I order English crisps from Amazon.  Cheese and Onion!

FYI:  Marmite is readily available in the US :-)  Try Cost Plus/World Market or Amazon.  Cost Plus also has loads of other treats from the UK, as well as Barry's Tea and Yorkshire Gold.

I didn't say they were USCIS mistakes. They are quite obviously my mistake.

I am just unhappy with the process to rectify it.

Also, I think your point has been made numerous times.

I understand the desire to say "you deserve it" but, really, you don't have to.

This is nonsense.  Please take the time to read the forums and educate yourself before offering false hope to a vulnerable person.  "Color blind," "age is just a number," and "all it takes is love" do not apply to the complex process of immigration.

I stalk the January thread.  Looks like the *official* USCIS date for inquiry is now 1/1/18, AND there is a 1/30/18 approval!   We are next!

The Kiwi is flying to Seattle tomorrow for our last pre-K-1 visit.  So excited!  We have been apart since 1/30.  It has been the roughest duration so far, since we reconnected in 2015.

Well, it doesn't hurt to try!  All they can do is deny the expedite.  Honestly, with your NOA1 date, you are so close now.

I am not sure if the NVC portion can be expedited, but recent cases have been taking 10-14 days to get case #s, so that you can book your fiancee's appointments.  AND it is to your advantage that the consulate is Singapore, because I believe they are known for being competent and efficient.

Tough spot to be in.  I am sure that when you booked the wedding to be just under one year from filing, it seemed reasonable, as K-1s were not taking as long then, overall.   Good luck!

Thanks, this helps.  I think I will call my congressperson tomorrow if I don't hear anything today.

About the expedite request: there may be a solid case here:
The school where my fiancee teaches needs to know when she is leaving, and the December 1 wedding date is common knowledge at the school.  So the status of her job is unknown.  The school may have already found her replacement and given that person a start date.  We should find out very soon about this.  So if she has to leave her job soon even if the wedding can't be in December, she would be in a situation where she would have to find a temp/substitute job for several teaching terms, possibly with lower pay and no benefits.  Meanwhile, my fiancee is helping pay for her family to travel and has financial obligations each month in her original home country. My business hasn't really done well since 2016.  For 2017, my income fell far short of expectations but still met FPL.  Because I am self-employed, I had already overpaid on my taxes based on my original income estimate.  My trip was funded through the large tax refund that came from that.  (I also have a lot of assets I can use for an Affidavit of Support.)  But potential clients have been denying me work since about March, saying that they'll just do the projects when I'm back.  That mostly hasn't happened. New jobs in my field (and a related one) are hard to get in the area where I live now.  So I need to determine both where we are going to live (my current state, another state we are considering, or Australia) and where I am going to work.  If I have to relocate, I would have to take more time off from a new job around the wedding without any paid leave accrued because the wedding is already scheduled to happen at my current church.  That time off request alone may make companies deny me a new job.
@Greenbaum - In the example here, the person got an expedite request approved even though the financial hardship was only worth one week's pay.  For us, it could cost up to 6-9 months' pay, between the two of us. (Edit: Does the first link you sent apply for K-1's?  It says that you can't request an expedite to go to a wedding or graduation, but it doesn't mention financial hardship or jobs.)

I am sure that it is fine for you to contact your congressperson/senator at this point.  They are only able to do an inquiry as to the progress with your adjudication.  However, I would doubt that you would be qualified for a financial hardship expedite, if you voluntarily gave up working/business to spend 5 weeks with your fiancé.  If that was an option, we would all do it! 😉

As for the wedding and travel plans, all you can do is hope.
