  1. The passport should be in a clear bag or envelope attached to the yellow one. It is ok to open the outer clear bag to get to the passport. Just don't open the yellow one. Congrats and good luck!
  2. There are PRA agents located throughout the Philippines who can assist you. I recommend going to YouTube and Google search for SRRV visa. There is a dearth of info there from people who have done it.
  3. My wife had been here for over three years. I am retiring in 2 months and we are planning on moving there and I will use the SRRV. If you feel comfortable living there I say go for it. Two years is a long time to wait when you are in the fourth quarter of the game of life)))
  4. I don't judge what others do. I was 53 and my wife was 30 when we met. Any more of an age gap and I would have felt a little uncomfortable. But, to each their own. I would expect that the OP might face some added scrutiny but Manila is pretty forgiving of age differences.
  5. It took me all of three seconds to google and confirm that Spoogy has contacted the proper department responsible for keeping those records. Especially old ones. He is asking if anyone has specific information if that doesn't work. As you have found Spoogy VJ can be less than welcoming sometimes. Were you married a second time? If it were me I would try to get a statement from the Superior Court of New Jersey Records Center that the records don't exist and then provide divorce decrees that you have for subsequent marriages. I'm not saying it will be acceptable but it may be all that you can do.
  6. You should really buy him a laptop ))) 😉
  7. Looking at the spreadsheets it seems like everyone outside of the California Service Center is looking at a long wait. Who would have thunk it))))
  8. Always ask to speak to a supervisor (politely). Most of them are aware of the expired green card/letter situation. I had a prior spouse have this situation flying home from Ukraine via Amsterdam. No issues on the outbound flight. It all worked out.
  9. Your partner is going to have to have a direct discussion with his parents and sort this out. Better now than later. Kicking the can down the road is just going to make things worse.
  10. My wifes travel was on her conditional GC. Her 751 is still being processed. I wouldn't think it would matter. I'm sure someone will come along and correct me if I am wrong)))
  11. My wife's 3 year date is Oct 31, 2022. The filing calculator for early application is August 2, 2022. She visited the Philippines from March 20 to April 20, 2022. Does this in any way affect the date she can submit the N400? Thanks as always....B.
  12. I don't think there is any way to protect yourself with carry on luggage as you depart the Philippines. You are at their mercy. I think I would use the stand firm I want to talk to the head cheese defense))) They are counting on you being scared and paying off at the lowest level. But, as I remember the scam went pretty high up the chain before.
  13. I know you weren't 🙂 It was just funny that my wife and I were talking about the bullet scam and the President's execution response a few days ago.
  14. My wife and I were just talking about this. I have no opinion either way about Duterte as President as it is not my country but he did seem to eliminate this scam...
