What is wrong with trying to help someone?  Why do you have to come at me like that?
    It isnt the first time.

Applying for a visitor visa and renewing your ESTA are two very different things. I'm not aware of any questions on the ESTA application that pertain to a pending visa, please let me know if I'm wrong.

There's a lot of contradictory information here. What visa did she last use to enter the US? And has she overstayed her current visa or not?

Regardless, I don't see a way for her to get a green card unless you marry her. She'll have to return to Colombia, either now or at the end of her studies, depending on the conditions of her visa.

This is the second time you've posted a vague request for information about a visa category while providing no context whatsoever.

You'll need to ask more specific questions if you want people to actually help you.

Another vote for spousal, and in your case zoom through Utah: You are the US citizen and you can use that option, no need to bother with Thailand as both of you being foreigners, also more simple than the Phillipines, since both of you are not there. So use the situation that you can already benefit from, no need for extra steps, expenses. Etc. You are together already so you can file I-130 right right after you get the certificate. The spousal will enable all the unlimited traveling and living abroad, basically your then wife will have the same status as you. Focus on a sponsor for the NVC stage, start now even if it will take a while, since you have been out of the country and confirm your residence etc.

It's your state of residence that matters, not the state where the marriage took place. From the USCIS policy manual:

USCIS does not recognize the following relationships as marriages, even if valid in the place of celebration:
Certain marriages that violate the strong public policy of the state of residence of the couple

"Hope for approval sometime soon" is not the same as "you will be approved soon".

No one can tell you for sure when you will be approved, they're just saying not to pay too much attention to that generic USCIS message and to be patient.
