    Never heard of a CR-1/IR-1 case self-scheduling. NVC schedules interviews.

    A ban has to be either served outside the US or waived via an I-601 Hardship Waiver.

    Once a person is a Green Card holder (inside the US), he/she can serve as a qualifying relative for an I-601 waiver. @Boiler gave you the correct answer the last time you asked 3 months ago. . I don't see a way for you both to move to the US together.

    A qualifying relative for an I-601 waiver must be a US citizen or a Green Card holder. You are neither of these.

    I don't recall ever seeing a K-1 expire unless it was sent back to USCIS.

    I have not seen a case expire unless it was returned to USCIS. The consulate normally extends them.

    Your attorney is correct. Approved I-129fs are typically automatically extended by the Department of State in 4 month increments until the interview. You can send the consulate an email to ask for an extension if you wish. It is not something you really need to worry about.
