  1. I got a letter in the mail dated April 14. Requesting for more evidence (RFE) to remove conditions on my marriage based green card (I-751). It said must respond by July 10. I haven't sent the RFE yet but I got an email today that my case has been processed! Did anyone go through this? Is that a denial? I thought I had more time. I have all the documents they wanted and was just waiting on my 2019 tax transcript from the IRS to show that we filed jointly. Please I'm panicking. Did anyone experience something similar before?
  2. Hi all, Happy New Year! Didn't see a thread started yet so here we are! My timeline thus far: Package mailed out: 12/24/2019 Case received at Nebraska Service Center: 01/02/2020
  3. Hello, has anyone traveled after Removal of conditions? Do they extend the visa? If anyone has any information could you please provide? thank you
  4. Hi Guys! So I had a delay on sending our joint I-751 petition but we're getting ready to send it out on Monday (in 2 days ) As suggested on my previous post, I made a sworn affidavit for my parents stating that we live with them and we will be living with them until we save up some money for our own place. I am not sure if this is good, I was given links with very good information on how to make the affidavit but I am pretty nervous since I tried to make it 1 page but I am not sure if I did good or if I should make changes. I would appreciate it if someone could give me some feedback. I replaced my information with fake names, addresses and dates. But that is exactly how I have it arranged. Please let me know how I did and if I should add, remove or change a few things. 5. Greetings, I need help, i need help filing a divorce waiver for a removal of conditions. I got a divorce and I dont know where to find the divorce waiver, or is it on the form itself for I751. Thank you any help is appreciated!!
  6. Hey all! We just filed for removal. Just a question... We sent the petition via UPS and it arrived on 3/31. We filed at Phoenix lockbox. Was wondering if there were any other recent filers that sent to the Phoenix. I had put the check in an envelope, and am freaking out with worry that they will send back. The $ has not been taken yet. My question is what was your response time from delivered to $ deducted and NOA? Many thanks!
  7. With the hopes that this will help someone out there, here is my timeline. 2 year Green card expired on Feb 15, 2019 November 20, 2018 USCIS Received my petition January 11, 2019 - Biometrics Appointment - ( I had to call to get me receipt mailed - which arrived Jan 28 2019 - extending my green card to another 18 months ) january 16, 2020 - Case approved and new 10 year green card mailed to be delivered today ( 1/18/2020) No interviews, No request for evidence. All paperwork submitted by my attorney. This case was handled by the Vermont Center - As advised by my attorney I did not submit N-400 for naturalization, he says having 2 case pendings is not a good idea. Will submit N-400 within the next couple weeks which I have already paid for. Don’t want to wait too long for a fee increase.
  8. I'm back again! Time to tackle this I-751 Removal of Conditions! I heard it takes longer than when we were doing our AoS, and i'm about to submit my packet on mid-January, any tips from previous filers or ones that are gonna file soon as well? Any help would be appreciated! Nice to be back on visajourney ❤️ -- Bobby
  9. Hello, I am in a very difficult situation and any thoughts/suggestions will be very appreciated. I was on an F1 visa. I got married in February 2018 and applied for Adjustment of status in May 2018. I was approved and granted a 2-year conditional green card in August of 2018. We enjoyed a very good first year but things have turned sour lately. We are in constant arguing every single day and to be honest we both know getting a divorce will be the best option for both of us. I believe we have enough evidence since the marriage was entered in good faith but I am worried what will become of my status. Thanks! Kojo
  10. I will be brief. My husband and I are on the verge of filing our I-751 ROC packet. While assembling the packet I came upon a realization. I want to prove that my husband and I live together but I never filed a change of address with USCIS. My husband and I moved into the guest house of a very nice elderly lady. The small apartment is located in an extremely nice community and it's an all around American town. However, she said she would prefer for us to NOT receive mail at that address. We can only afford the rent in this area because she charges way below the average rent rate but doesnt report it to the city. She said that the city would charge her a fine if they found out she rents her guest house and she needs the help so we agreed to not receive mail at that address. We have been living there since March/April 2018 Fast forward to the present. It's now time to submit the I-751. The current address on file at USCIS is my moms home address which is where we lived for over a year before moving into the new apartment/guesthouse. We go to my moms house all the time and actually prefer to receive our mail there. With that said, I dont want to lie and say we have continued to live at my moms house even though we moved over a year ago. My priority is to submit evidence of a bonafide marriage and that we have continued to live together all this time. I have the rental agreement and the rental receipts (we pay cash each month. Our landlord is older and very old school although shes very sweet and nice). I am loosing sleep over this. Will USCIS deny our I-751 case if I file a change of address over a year later? Will we get fined or thrown in jail as is stated is a possible consequence for failing to submit a change of address. I would appreciate any guidance wholeheartedly.
  11. Hi everyone. Our packet arrived to Texas on 7/17 and we have yet to get a notification saying it was received, and the money has not yet been taken out of our account for the fee. Should we be worried about this and if so what do we do? I know times are little funky lately in regards to how long things take.
  12. Hi. I want to add affidavits by people who knew us as a couple for I-751. But unfortunately my family does not live in USA. So can I have any of my family member write affidavit for me from their country or does the person has to be in USA?
  13. Hi all, My husband has the 18 month extension letter, however, we are not sure if Pakistani immigration authorities in Islamabad airport are familiar with the document (for when we'll return). We believe an I-551 stamp in the passport might seem "more official" to them. Is there anyone here who has experience traveling in and out of Islamabad on the extension letter?? Alternatively we could try to get the passport stamped but don't like the idea of giving up expired green card and the NOA. Would really appreciate if others have relevant experiences to share. Thank you!
