Judging by that sheet, it looks like she still needs to have mumps (might be easier to get an MMR shot instead), varicella, and influenza. The others she's missing have already been marked as not being age appropriate for her - so not required.

Hah! Winter tires are overrated. Even if you can stop on a dime, you're still at the mercy of the car behind you. And with a fully loaded U-Haul, the car behind will probably out brake you even with bald summer tires...

I assume you found the information from CIC at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/twov/travellers.asp - travelling on a Philippines passport with US visa does not require a transit visa at Vancouver if she's flying with a participating airline (i.e. one of Air Canada, Air Canada Rouge, Air China, WestJet, Cathay Pacific, China Southern, Philippines Airlines, Jazz Air, Sky Regional Airlines Inc., Air Georgian, Hainan Airlines).

Lack of consummation is not generally considered to be grounds for annulment. It depends on the State, but annulment usually involves a legal impediment to the marriage (e.g. bigamy, incest, fraud, duress, etc.).

@LumbertJones just a couple of questions you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but I'm curious as to if there were any signs. What country is she from? Is there a big age difference? This last one is kind of a very delicate question, but I'll put it like this, did she let you take a test drive before you signed the lease?

I think that any of those credential evaluation services are more suited to those trying to further their education or gain accreditation. For job applications, simply having a degree seems to be enough to pass muster.

A degree just gets you through the door - experience is way more useful.

True dat! And where I am, there's a bunch of jobs that require US citizens - or people that can qualify for security clearance (which also means US citizens).

I get offers from all over the US. At least in IT, though, there's a good chance you can work remotely (or virtually - which always reminds me of the old joke - if a bus stops at a bus station and a train stops at a train station, what happens at a work station? - or a Russian colleague that fell out laughing over the difference between "working hard" and "hardly working").

Get her a US passport - she'll need one eventually when you move south. You can do it at the same time as CRBA - just needs you to complete the DS-11 passport application too - very little extra effort required than for CRBA.

Right now, it's probably yes - TSA will likely accept the card.

Colorado ID without the black bar is compliant. The state's FAQ declares a license with the black banner is not valid for commercial air travel.

No you can't. It needs to be a cheque or money order. (It's different in the UK where you can file at the consulate).

You can pay by cheque or money order drawn on a US bank. If you don't have a US chequing account, have a friend or relative write one for you.

broppy reacted to Ksenia_O in Ukraine: Is military record required for EB visa?
Almost every male in Ukraine does have a military record.

First - it kept by school you attended. If I'm not mistaken, at age 14 or 16 all boys are going through medical exam, which pre-determines if there are any health issues and a boy is qualified to serve. Or not.
All records are kept  by school AND by local Military Office.

Then the "algorithm" keeps going, and  depends on where you go after school - college, university and etc.
If you move to a different town/city, you are required to get your military record from the local office at the place you leave and within a certain time to bring it in to a military office at the place you move.

If you didn't serve (which is completely possible due to a health issues or you have not been called to do so yet), there is still a military record of you. It's called registration military certificate (pripisnoe svidetel'stvo).
So, you just need to figure out which military office has it.

And yes, I believe you may be asked for the certificate during your interview at the US Embassy.

    Good luck

broppy got a reaction from artml in Ukraine: Is military record required for EB visa?
Military records are only required if you actually served in the military. Coming from a country with universal conscription, though, you'll be expected to explain (and likely prove) why you didn't serve.

It is old information. INS was the Immigration and Naturalization Service - a part of the Department of Justice. In 2003 it was moved to the newly created Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and split into USCIS, ICE, and CBP. Older social security cards would mention "INS authorization", newer ones have "DHS authorization".
