Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. This is not a stubborn wife; it is a wife who is not interested in your marriage. It's best you know now and fully internalize this truth.

ExPatty got a reaction from Mike E in Selective Service registration - 26 years old
I googled a bunch. This is 10 years old, but:
    http://www.laborlawtalk.com/showthread.php?t=76335
If true, the reading of the rules are basically not "Here are the people who need to register", but rather "you must register unless", and that would mean that you must register unless you are in one of the specific categories you mustn't; basically, if the visa has expired--as it would during adjustment--then you would be included in a group who should register.
I still maintain the OP is not going to be in a huge world of hurt because of this, though. It is not the end of the world, and is somewhat common without holding the catastrophe other immigration mistakes can such as falsely claiming citizenship.

Lawyer is right that pursuing them legally if they hold ground is a waste of time.
However, there is a huge gray area you need to exploit, stat.
If you can find an immigration attorney who is willing to write you a quick letter on a piece of their letter head and it costs you only $150 to do so, go for it. No need to actually go through with anything.
Or, better yet--quicker, and cheaper--tell the employer that you've contacted an attorney about it to get their opinion, and that you have looked up the law (reference it) and tell them that they are discriminating against your status. Be very courteous and kind about it, since they may be your future employer. They don't need to know you have no intention of making a huge issue out of this, but if they are in fact breaking the law giving up without at least bluffing your intent to challenge them on this is silly. Further, you have absolutely nothing to lose. Worse case you don't get the job, which is what you don't get anyway if they get their way.
I'm not familiar with this law, but I found the bullet you referenced:
    http://www.uscis.gov/i-9-central/employee-rights-discrimination/employee-rights
Heck, even if it doesn't quite mean what it seems to, it sure seems to mean that what they are doing is illeal. Let them know. Bluff that you don't intend to lose a job due to their ignorance of the law.

    http://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/what-i-forgot-tell-uscis-change-address.html
Realistically you're just fine. I absolutely guarantee you a huge ton of people forget to do this. You're not going to be deported, you won't be arrested, or fined, either.
Even here it says that filing late is better than never: http://www.usimmigrationlawyers.com/resources/immigration-law/green-card/can-i-really-be-deported-noand shows that your original was not willful. That is, of course, if USCIS ever brings this up, which they are almost certainly not going to do.
Here's a protip: the fact that everything I google about this only queries theoreticals and not actual events shows that this is not a regularly occurring issue You are not going to find a lot of people undergoing deportation proceedings because they forgot such a thing.
    Same query on visajourney: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/304916-forgot-to-notify-of-address-change/

ExPatty got a reaction from HF & HB in RBC Bank US for Canadians
Just in case anybody doesn't know, if a "US person" (http://www.irs.gov/Businesses/Small-Businesses-&-Self-Employed/Report-of-Foreign-Bank-and-Financial-Accounts-FBAR) has any foreign bank account(s) at all that in their aggregate amount to $10k during the year, they must report these. The penalty is really severe not to do it, even if you can legitimately plead ignorance to the law.
My understanding is that if you have a couple of foreign accounts and they are below $10k you need not mention them at all, at least according to that link.

So let me get this straight, you don't know yet who you are going to marry, but you're intent on finding somebody to marry so that you can sidestep the normal refugee process for them and their family and "do your part"? Seems like a super bad idea.

Are you going to start work or something similar to fill your time? The stress of moving to the US initially by myself was palpable. Much of this will dissipate over months, but it could take years before the US truly feels like your "home". Hopefully you can start work soon because sitting at home in a new environment is particularly troublesome to one's health after moving, I think.

Perhaps. In any case, I'm simply tired of posts that are not caustic and not personal attacks being constantly [and inconsistently] edited due to contradicting with a nebulous TOS, and without me even being sanctioned (because, let's be honest, it didn't contradict with the TOS). Too many crocodile tears, far, far too much enabling of people with stunted self-esteems who cry over minutiae that adjusted adults shouldn't flinch at. In just the last 2-3 days it's happened twice. If this place wants to be a progressive echo chamber, it's doing a good job of it.
I absolutely don't think this place is equipped with the tools and culture necessary to have a meaningful forum on current events. You can't discuss a bunch of people being massacred, for example, without some uncomfortable associated arguments.
I won't be changing to appease this, and I won't be clicking any "I acknowledge" type sanctions again, either. Keep fighting the good fight, but I'm changing my theater; I'm out.

I am guessing this view will fly like a lead balloon. Hope he doesn't plan on running for reelection any time soon. The article goes on to say France is monitoring the communications of many young muslims, and yet this attack still happened; ergo, it couldn't have been prevented, as if there is nothing else that can be done.
And yet, French unity is cracking, so sayeth: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-07-15/attack-in-nice-draws-barbs-from-opposition-after-year-of-silence

FUD is a tried and true technique in many areas, politics is just one example. Democrats do it too. If you elect a Republican, we will be a theocracy in 4 years. The Republic won't survive. The best pornstars and actors will move to Canada. All the polar bears will die. Your kids will have to drink oil. Fracking will turn Oklahoma into a sinkhole. The planet will become a ball of fire if you don't trade in your Escape for a Tesla.

As you've noticed your post is like chum to the sharks.
I personally will not vote for Hillary because I think the US should not be a dynasty. There should never have been two Bushes, and there shouldn't be two Clintons. People who tolerate this hold the US to a low standard; corruption and back room dealing just doesn't bother them. I also believe she is highly ineffective and incompetent, without a significant number of accolades for a person leading the most powerful country in the world who has already held high positions. On a more personal note I find her unlikable, and she is profoundly dishonest; an accomplished liar who I believe wants office for entirely personal reasons and who doesn't demonstrate any caring for people in general. Lastly, she is also a criminal who only escaped prosecution over gross negligence because, despite that being a crime, there isn't much precedent to charge for it, and so she was let off. She clearly and without any doubt put her own convenience and personal matters above state secrets, then lied about them over and over. I am sure her website still has lies about them even after refutation by the director of the FBI.
Trump is a bad option because he is a liar, exhibits some signs of fascism, and is essentially a total unknown. He is a big gamble. He is the worst republican nominee in a while and the fact he and hillary are neck and neck is indicative of how weak a candidate he is. She in turn is so weak any of the previous republican candidates could have wiped the floor with her; mccain, romney.

Can I answer? And actually they amassed this wealth in about half that time frame AFAIK. I think their net worth wasn't terribly meaningful at the turn of the century.
They amassed it through public corruption. The revolving door of Washington, where once you hit a certain level in public office you are good-to-go. Perfectly legal to do insider trading if you were part of congress until just a few years ago, and to this day once you leave office you can get a ridiculous salary or fee doing some silly job in the private sector due to your connections in washington.
Sanders knew this, it's also why he's one of the "poor" senators. He could have made a difference, but much of america doesn't care about the fact that the US is light blue instead of dark: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corruption_Perceptions_Index and so they tolerate being bamboozled.
