(CNN)The mayor of Nice, France, tweeted that a truck ran into a crowd on Bastille Day, killing multiple people.

Mayor Christian Estrosi said late Thursday that there are "tens of dead."
"Dear Nice residents, the driver of a truck appears to have caused tens of deaths. Stay for the moment in your homes. More info to come."

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Well, when some of us called this WWIII we were made fun of. WWII doesn't mean a bunch of armies fighting each other, it means this continuing, throughout many years, consistently...does anyone now doubt it will happen? Can you call it anything other than that? This isn't going to stop on its own nor will it be defeated any time soon. We all might as well just get used to it.

I think you are right, does seem to be a RoP suicide mission.

I agree that we will have to get used to it until enough people with spines stand up to it and stop trying to say we can solve terrorism with hugs and blankets.

I forgot an I in my post.

I know a guy that has been expecting this for the last several years and was hoping to make it to Europe before it happens. He now says(half jokingly or not) that he "didn't get there on time" ie missed his chance and won't get to go to Europe anymore. We'll see. I actually stayed in Nice in 2009 at Hotel Negresco, not far at all from where this happened.
