I just never understood the reasoning for sending money back home every month to support grown people that could work. Why not call during business hours?  It will be pretty clear if it is legit.

I passed the naturalization interview yesterday and took the oath the same day. I feel relieved finally - it took a very long time, but it was worth waiting for it. Wish a very speedy processing to those of you that are still waiting - hopefully you’ll get some good news very soon!

Wife had her interview today here in Montana. Combined Roc interview. They didn't ask me to be there (I was waiting in the car). Approved her on the spot and did her oath ceremony too! Applied for citizenship and got approved after around 3 months. She has her naturalization certificate in hand! 

Just wanted to let you know I am officially a US citizen 👏🏾💃 ... the interview went well and it was super easy here in Seattle.
 
Good bye USCIS. What a Journey it has been and thank you to everyone on here who has kept me sane through this process from K1, Removing condition and N400.
 
 

I had my interview and oath on the same day last week. You get the certificate when you have said the oath. 
 
I didn’t celebrate. It was during COVID so my husband could not attend. It was just me and a USCIS officer. No ceremony. I just registered to vote 9 minutes after my oath, then drove home afterwards and my husband was at work that day until 11 pm. So I watched 90 Day fiancé on TV. The end of my journey was spent watching others start theirs. 
 
Next day I applied for my passport. 
 
To me it wasn’t really anything to celebrate. 

Honestly, I wouldn't. You don't really know that person and it sounds sketchy with the whole "I would marry you without knowing you". Sounds like a "I'd love a green card". Not necessarily the case, but possible. Anyways, going to a foreign country to meet a person you don't really know by yourself is too risky in my opinion. Make sure you have your friends with you when you first meet and if things go well, you can spend time with him alone. That's my advice. 

Wife passed the N400 interview, got sworn in immediately afterward, certificate issued; all in all took 2 hours.  Looks like we completed our Visa Journey in 6 years, since the initial submission of the Fiance petition.  Everything went smoothly; no hickup and RFEs, etc.
 
Best of luck to the rest of you guys who are enduring and who are about to start this journey!  Can't say how much help this VJ site/group has been in our journey...  Great job and kudos to all the members...  I will continue to check in, to see if I can offer my own help back to the community with our experience...  Take care everyone...

Daughter had her interview at 9am in SF FO today, passed and has an oath scheduled for 2pm today. This will complete the immigration journey for our family. (She aged out of being able to automatically acquire during my process.)

Oh God! I finally passed my interview at 8:00am today. They did the same day Oath Taking at 11:15am. Yahoooo! Thank you all for all your help. God bless! 

My husband passed his interview today and took his oath! Thanks everyone for the support and good luck to all those who are still waiting!
Interview was at the San Francisco office. NOA date was Nov 15, 2019. We got the interview notice on Feb 2. 
Husband said the officer was very nice and asked the civics questions first. He said it was very conversational. He said it looks scary at first bc there's a security guard who is stern, of course, but then all the other staff members are super nice and friendly. 
He can only remember five questions:
-what was benjamin franklin famous for?
-who did we fight in ww2?
-who make the laws?
-how many senators in the senate?
-who does your senator represent?
Woohoo!!!

Time to be blunt.  We're trying to help you.  

You are fishing for a visa to come spend more time with your girlfriend.  It's not going to happen.

You are contemplating any course of study that could get you an F1.  That's not going to happen.  You need to be a serious student and be able to articulate why a US degree would help you with a career in your home country to qualify for a non-immigrant F1 student visa.  You went from business degree to culinary degree with an emphasis on spending time with your girlfriend. 

Work visas are obtained by US employers on behalf of their potential employees.  The employer would need to spend minimum $5000 and a significant amount of time to get a work visa for a foreign employee.  Engineers, scientists, etc. are at the top of this list.  Never heard of any employer bringing over a baker.  

Your only choice is to use the VWP to visit your girlfriend.  There are many people on VJ who are not fortunate enough to be from a VWP country.  The US citizen takes many trips abroad, and it sucks because we have way fewer vacation days than Europeans.

You can continue to use the VWP or you can risk it all by seeking any visa.  If that visa is denied, your VWP days are over.

Take what you can get with the VWP and feel fortunate.  

THE ONLY WAY FOR YOU TO COME LIVE IN THE US IS MARRIAGE.  There is NO WAY around this for you.
