If it is actually required to be submitted prior,  they will want you to send both

Yes, but the uscis doesn't want your i134,  that is given to the embassy upon interview

No where in the i129f instructions does it mention the i134.  Read the instructions carefully,  interpret literally,  do not add or subtract words from what is written

    Hmmm, I wonder??

Each US consulate/embassy is part of the US Department of State (DOS). An agency of the DOS, the National Visa Center (NVC) processes the approved petitions it receives from USCIS. Both USCIS and DOS and assigns unique case receipt/case file numbers very likely with personal identifiable applicant(s) information, such as biometrics, for each approved petition/application. Another DOS entity, the Bureau of Consular Affairs, is the public face at the various US embassies/consulates throughout the world. Their job is to administer laws, formulate regulations, and implement policies related to the broad range of consular and immigration activities throughout the world.

I know from experience that it is sometimes hard to keep in mind that USCIS has up to 30 days to process your NOA1. As a matter of fact, ever since USCIS got inundated with seeming boxcars of  immigration applications/petitions, etc., they have pretty much instituted a possible 30 day response window for most Form I-797 NOA processing.... the old USCIS jalopy is running out of steam....

There are several folks right now that have been waiting for over 1-2 years to get their Removal of Conditions (ROC) petition adjudicated. They have received their one year GC extension/NOA1 receipt, now USCIS is doing blanket extensions to 18 months of the NOA1 GC extensions and USCIS are still not able to get processing completed...the old USCIS jalopy is running out of steam....

You should NEVER, NEVER, NEVER did I happen to say NEVER compare yourself to others. No two applications are the same, two embassies are the same and NO TWO CO's are the same. Every application has a process and some take longer than others. Stop worrying. You will very likely hear from them very soon and then you will think you are a fool for getting so worked up. Oy Vey!

Enjoy and cherish the holidays with your loved ones, the rest of this stuff will eventually sort itself out. 🎄

Yes you use section 8 for things that need an explanation, that doesn't fit the form or items which don't fit the nomenclature of the question.

Pitaya got a reaction from Hank_ in I cant discern which fees I owe to the NVC
Since you filed in the K1 Visa Case Filing Forum, I have to assume that you applying for a K1 visa. If so, there are no fees paid directly to NVC. The petitioner pays a fee with their K1 visa petition, and the beneficiary pays a visa application fee when the approved petition is processed at the interviewing embassy/consulate. Take a look at this link of DOS FAQs about K1 visa fees: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#10

Please be sure, I am done with this somewhat banal discussion, bantering back and forth with you about every little nuance or difference between these processes and forms. I have a few other things to do during these holiday times. Find out for yourself, that's what everybody  else does. These forum topics were present long before I came on the scene a few years ago, and will very likely be here as long as folks get involved in immigration procedings.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

That is true, however here at VJ there are two separate AOS forums, due to subtle, distinct differences in the types of forms and procedures used in the two groups. Those groups being:

AOS from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas Forum: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/7-adjustment-of-status-green-card-from-k1-and-k3-family-based-visas/

AOS from Work, Student, and Tourist (WST) Visas Forum: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-amp-tourist-visas/

Additionally, each of those similar, but different forums have their own separate AOS Case Filing and Progress Forums. Mixing of the two groups can result in confusing discussions, due to the subtle differences associated with each group's processing.

Good luck on your immigration journey and Happy Holidays!! 🎄🎁
