    Mumbai you are looking at about 12 months (from DQ) if you are IR/CR. It's longer if you are F2A. You said I-130 that doesn't tell us your visa category. You could be petitioning for sibling, adult child , parent. Please be more detail in your ask so we can answer you properly please.

    It means they are working on your case. Every time they touch t, open it, update information the date will update. It's not either positive or negative it's progress.
    When they are done it should change to READY then Issued.

    Ya'll IL's are dropping for February interviews for CR/IR someone with DQ September 1, 2021 just got there's a few minutes ago.
    I know they stopped at Jul 28, 2021 in October so looks like they are covering a few months.

    dwheels76 got a reaction from Chancy in Visa medical - question about Public charges and “substantial departure from a normal state of well-being or level of functioning“
    Absolutely nothing to worry about. The "substantial departure" would be for those who could not function that their depression, drug usage, alcoholism or consumption is so debilitating they are unemployable.
    You are the beneficiary so there will not be that kind of weight looked at your situation since it's the petitioners responsibility to support you.

    If depression in itself was a denial reason we would have less folks able to immigrate.

    I am sure you read this but here's for others who wonder the scope of the Medical.

    Sibling petition is 13 to 15 years. It's faster for ur parents to petition your brother when they arrive.
    You are US citizen correct. It's about 3 years for parents from Lagos to here.

    So you will have amended marriage certificate for NVC and upload that and if asked at interview you can explain reason to amend.

    have you submitted the correct. Regardless when you submit it as long as you have it at interview. Her location really doesn't matter. As long as you submitted proof you met up before you filed. Don;t get hung up on the small stuff. If not ready for NVC stage take to interview.

    If you overstay even 1 day, you will never be able to adjust status as an F2B.  Whatever you do, you MUST leave before overstaying.

    dwheels76 got a reaction from Crazy Cat in Switching from K1 to CR1, can we get married in the US using my existing ESTA? Consider zoom marriage?
    1. Your first choice is fraud if you get married and still continue with a K1 path. You cant do that. You would have to withdraw the K1 and file the CR1.
    2. getting married via zoom and filing CR1 is fine.
    3. No need for a lawyer the process is very easy. But why not stay the K1 path especially with your embassy not having a backlog you probably be here a year sooner.

    Duplicate member account has been subjected to draconian administrative action.

    Main member account has been subjected to similar draconian administrative action for these reasons:
     -- opening a duplicate account to avoid a suspension;
     -- reopening a closed topic in direct violation of Moderation instructions;
     -- insulting and antagonizing other members;
     -- restricting and inhibiting others' use of the forum;
     -- essentially spamming the forum with a purely legal issue.

    This thread is locked, and neither this topic nor its drama is to be restarted or carried into other threads.

    Many thanks to our good members here for having reported these transgressions.

    Yet you admitted domestic violence. , which is a crime. You admitted kicking someone out without going through the proper channels. Which is a crime. What have I done wrong?

    Literally everyone is telling you the same thing- you are a little upset because I figured out that you are the same person on the last post.

    I’m not on your case, I’m replying to a thread on a forum which I have the right to. Meanwhile you are calling names.

    I came on VJ back in 2008 for advice and guides to petition for my first husband. Guess what- he came, it didn’t work out and he was horrible to me. I moved on. Karma got him bad.

    you can’t start a thread and be upset at some of the responses. I never called you a name, I answered your questions and also addressed the pieces of information you chose to disclose . That means I have a gang mentality? Please

    Word of advice on this forum, if you don’t want comments on decisions you have made (such as shoving your wife or kicking her out), don’t post them on the forum. It really is that simple.

    I was going to submit it through their tips page, I could link to a image holder website, and a video holder website, where they could click on a link I provide and they could easily view and download the screenshots and/or the video.

    There is nothing to report, working without authorization was forgiven the moment they approved her green card.

    Get a friendly fast divorce and count your blessings she likes to work…cause if she finds her own attorney who is smart in the ways of I-864 you will be paying her $$.

    i know you are hurt , betrayed and wounds are fresh …but have a friend pack her things up and be done.

    So you are adjusting his status which means he can not leave. You are a green card holder which means overstays are not forgiven for spouse. So ditch the I-485. You only file the I-130 for consulate interview. He can not overstay his visa.

    Just for clarity many people from West Africa especially Nigeria do this because these are the things we must do to get a Visa there. It has helped many parents especially to get invitation to birth or naming ceremony which is a very big deal. It just helps the situation to explain.
    It sure doesn't hurt the situation.

    But u need to change ur petition to divorce waiver. Not withdraw. Not start all over.
