DV Lottery of K1 Visa - Can I file for both?
I applied for the DV lottery 2025 and hope to be selected this year. My fiancé and I discovered that there is a fiancé visa for the USA. Do you think if we apply for the K1 visa but are selected for the DV lottery that we can stop the fiancé visa process? What are the timelines and options here :)?

    Confused about steps after marriage
My fiancee arrived last month on K1 fiance visa and we got married yesterday. It seems from what I have seen online that I made a mistake by not getting SSN prior to marriage? I am going to the SSN office on Monday to gather more information... also worried about employment authorization and travel authorization(s). Thanks for any insights!

Tourist visa cancelled by CBP agent. Can we still get a CR1 or K1 Visa?
Upon my gf's most recent arrival, her tourist visa was cancelled at the airport due to her frequent visits last year and suspicion of working here. She was denied entry and sent back same day. Is a CR1 or K1 visa process an option still? I would appreciate any advice or tips you can provide!

Can I submit my marriage certificate RFE digitally?

    Hi everyone,

I just checked MyUscis and found and RFE in my account for my I-485 petition to AOS from a K1 visa. Unfortunately, I caught it quite late, and their deadline is in 2 weeks.

This is the word for word in the RFE: Submit a copy of the marriage certificate between the K-1 applicant, *ME*, and the I-129F petitioner, showing the date of the marriage within 90 days of the K-1 s arrival into the United States.

Does a copy mean I can upload it digitally? I also have an extra certified copy that I could send via regular mail, but I am worried about it being processed in time in that case. Does anyone have experience with this specific RFE?

    Hi Everyone,

I submitted my i751 application with divorce waiver about 2.5 years ago as I was divorced at the time.
I am getting re-married (to a different person) and would like to change my last name.

    How do I do this?

Has this affected anyone in the past?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

My husband has an ACRO which states 'no live trace', on the Esta form where it says about convictions, do I say yes or no? As it says no live trace I confused which one to answer! Also if I answer yes will I then need to upload the ACRO?

    Thanks for your help,

    Kathryn

    Spousal Visa Cebu Questions

Greetings, I am having trouble finding digesting the information I need regarding the spousal visa process. If anyone can help I'll be thankful. I have the questions organized below. U.S. Citizen, not married to partner who is a Philippines citizen, we have an infant now. May have to return to U.S. for work and won't have much notice when I'm hired.

    1) Given time constraints and avoiding other red tape we may need to do the online marriage approach via Utah. I understand this is not a problem now in the Philippines.

    2) For the spousal visa, are interviews in Cebu or only in Manila. Manila is difficult for several reasons.

    3) what is the timeframe now for getting the appointment?

    4) Is the Direct Consular Filing an option in Cebu or Manila? If the normal process is started now can it be changed to DCF if necessary or is expediting possible with a rushed job offer?

    5) Can anyone recommend a reliable attorney or immigration office?

    Thanks, Ken

I file a K1 visa for my husband in 2021 and they refuse him, because of controlled substance and they gave 212 (a) (2) (a) (i) (ii), they claim he is inadmissible. we got married in July 2021 of the same year. and I file an I 130 in 2023, waiting on a response, I'm worried if they will denied me again.

2 years late to file I-751
I am two years late in filing my I-751 form. Here’s the situation:
      - We completely overlooked this particular form.
      - After my initial green card expired, we applied for the I-90, which has been in process for two years.
      - With the extension they provided, I was able to travel and receive my driver's license.
      - In April this year, I filed for the N-400.
      - During this entire time, I received no communication from USCIS regarding missing documentation.
      - Today, at my naturalization interview, I learned I was supposed to file the I-751.
      - After some back and forth with the officer, he still conducted my interview. He mentioned that since I am married and have children, I should not have a problem, and he asked me to submit an affidavit of explanation plus supporting documents.
      - Later today, I received a letter in my portal asking for "missing documents," specifically the I-751. They gave me four days to provide evidence of the I-751 acceptance or processing status.
I am unsure of what to do. Please help and advise.
