  1. It's over. Got my divorce today. I start new post today. No alimony. I agreed to pay her 2600 by March 9th.
  2. Yes, the 1st attempt was thrown out for lack of jurisdiction. I put incorrect dates on the initial filing. Now, we back at it again. We met late last year. The follow-up hearing is 1/22/24. She did not retain counsel. My counsel will show up when we have a trail, but not for hearing. They're very expensive for status hearing. The I-134 or I-864 has not come up. That will come during the trail. Coincidentally, I realized I never filled out an I-130. Not sure if that matters much now, but lawyer will accompany me when we go to trial. She blew off mediation, because she belives the judge will award her more. She's been living on her own for over a year somewhere in DC.
  3. At the last hearing when the judge realized we didn't have any marital propery or debit she Strongly emphasized we work things out in mediation, because we hadn't accumulated any debit or property together. She has nothing to loose so never showed up to mediation and wants a judge to decide. We go back on 1/22/24 for a status hearing.
  4. Still going to court. I re-filed. Our next hearing is the 22nd. She hasn't shown up for mediation. She's been living on her own of over 1 year now. The judge may make us try again or set a trail date. The judge also let her know that with only 6 months of living together, she's not entitled to much. So the saga continues.
  5. The letter just refer the fact she is authorized to remain in the country until her non-immigrant visa expires.
  6. Hi Boiler. What part in sentence makes you believe it comes from the I-134? We have hearing tomorrow. She doesn't have any standing to be here after the divorce. And doesn't her visa become out of date once the divorce is final? I485_Withdrawal Acknowledgement - Copy.pdf I765_Denial Notice - Copy.pdf
  7. Since we have not settles in mediation is it too late for her sign a waiver of any and all future claims against me? I live in DC. The 3rd hearing is tomorrow. I just learned this evening it will be remote. The judge gave instructions at the last hearing for us to try and mediate again. No luck. So finally, the judge will probabaly set a trial date.
  8. Can I get a copy of the 134 and 864? I only remember the 864 because I needed paystubs and W-2's.
  9. I was looking at the 134. I dont' remember the form. In the Who May File section and it said this: Do not use Form I-134 if the beneficiary you are agreeing to financially support must have Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA, filed on his or her behalf instead. I believe that's what I did, but it was awhile ago.
  10. This is part of the reason I'm on here to learn about how to address my case. I did learn today that I filled 134 A LONG TIME ago. I just forgot and it wasn't on the of my mind. Only the 485, 131, 765, and 864. My family attorney does understand the basics of her adjustment and not having a green card. He understands I'm not sponsoring her anymore based on my withdrawal of the the 485. Thanks.
