  1. Fiance arrived on 2/19/24. No I-94 form given. After reading online, it says it's electronically done. I looked for her record on https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/recent-search but it says no record found. I tried to switch around names and other fields on the site, but no luck. Is this a required item that I need to complete my I-130 or should I keep looking down the rabbit hole? Anyone I can contact for this?
  2. I'm getting a lot of pressure from companies to help with the next step but their fees seem crazy high. Anyways, curious if I understand the next steps correctly? Apply for apply for permanent residency and file Form I-485. Also apply for I-140? My fiancé is also wanting to work, so we fill out Form I-765 as well? Please let me know if this is correct. And looks like approval of the I-485 might be another 14-17 months!
  3. We got our I-797 notice date 3/24/23 and got an email about the NVC sending to embassy on 7/3/2023. So we are in similar timeline, you should be receiving this month or maybe early next month.
  4. We received our I-797 on 3/24 then heard back from the NVC on 7/3. We've received an email saying that our I-129F has been approved by the NVC/USCIS and that they will forward it to the local embassy of my fiancé. I was expecting some paper mail welcome packet that explains this process and a longer wait, but I guess we are past that? I thought the NVC portion of our journey would take longer. It says that it will take several weeks for the local embassy to process the petition. I'm curious what kind of timeline others have seen from NVC approval to local embassy in contacting my fiancé for the next step? And would the next step be the interview?
  5. Hey congrats! We just got ours approved as well. I'm curious how long it'll take to receive the NVC case number. Our approval date was March 23, 2023. I think someone said up to eight weeks, but curious if someone has a better estimate.
  6. My fiancé and I have a 3 month daughter (undergoing crba to gain citizenship/passport shortly) that are currently overseas. We are awaiting the I-129F approval that is expected around June 2023. She has a US tourist visa and we are planning a trip for her and my daughter to visit me in the States. My question is around immigration/customs (We will have an exit flight for her prepared before the six month expiration). Do we say that she is undergoing the K-1 fiancé visa process? Or just say that it's a social visit? Am I overthinking how stringent the officer will be?
  7. My fiancé and I are in the never-ending line to get our K-1/I-129F approved. I think estimates have the approval arriving June 2023. Then of course, more waiting for visa in-hand. Does anyone have experience in changing to the CR-1 process? Our urgency is speed over cost at this point. My fiancé and I welcomed our daughter in December 2022 (Currently applying for CRBA). We also had a ceremony (not for legal purposes) with our friends that are abroad that could be classified as a wedding. We have photos and could apply for a legal marriage certificate as well. Or maybe applying for a CR-1 while a K-1 can cause mass confusion. Thank you in advance.
  8. Is there any merit to pursuing the CR-1 now? We are maybe 3-4 months away from I-129F approval. I guess I should do more research on the CR-1.
  9. Got in touch with my congressman and was hoping to expedite on three reasons. Was wondering if the forum can help if all or any of the reasons would allow expedition? We filed in Feb 1, 2022. Therefore, it's been over a year. I understand that the USCIS hasn't processed our submissions yet based on the data but when we filed, they said it would be processed in 11 months We have welcomed our daughter in December 2022. I'm currently overseas with my little family now but would obviously like to raise her in the US asap I was on paternity leave with my company but that expired two weeks ago and I decided to leave my position (For various reasons). Fortunately we have family to stay with and some savings to get through. Would like for everything to process quicker so I can get back and start working again (I'm planning on returning earlier to get a job to prove that I can support my family financially) Curious if any of these reasons would push the issue to expedite my case. I hate the idea of jumping ahead of others in the queue but with current timelines, I feel like it might take another year before my fiancé has her VISA in-hand. Or does anyone have any experience in your respective congressman just asking the USCIS where the application is in the queue and that magically speeds it up? Thank you everyone and would love any input.
