Hello, I searched the forum for this topic but couldn’t find any so decided to create one.

Biometrics reuse online - 8/3/25

Receipt notice (NOA) mailed arrived - 8/6/25

I just filed my N-400! I filed ROC in 2023 but it’s still processing so I decided it’s better to apply (although I would’ve wanted to get my 10 year GC as a keepsake🥺)

8/20/25 - filed online (at 9pm PDT so it’s dated 8/21)

8/21/25 - receipt notice and biometric reuse uploaded immediately

..and now we wait. I hope this is a speedy process because I have a trip to my home country at the end of the year and I hope that won’t interfere with an interview or anything else.

We plan to file tonight. I-751 pending since August 2024. 90 day window opened yesterday and 3 year GC anniversary is November 2022. I'm just going to add what the checklist asked for and add a few extra documents. If they request more, then will upload/send them.

You would still have to turn it in at the citizenship oath ceremony.....Who know, they might still send you one...😄

Agree with @Crazy Cat

All green cards, EADs, Advance Paroles, Re-Entry permits, Refugee Travel Documents etc should be surrended before oath.

@jennifert USCIS is sometimes funny. Some people received 10 year GC even after becoming US citizens!

Applied this evening for N-400 and the receipt noticed was uploaded right away. No bio metric letter uploaded, will update when that gets uploaded.

Just to update, it says a biometric reuse notice is in our online documents tab, but when try to open it all that we get is an error message. I guess just need to wait for it to come in the mail.

Did early filers under 3 year rule read this post?
Living with your U.S. spouse for at least 3 years is also required before filing your N-400 else you might be denied during your interview. It is advised to file after the 3rd GC anniversary for such issue.
