Who's Paying for the Violent L.A. Protests Against ICE?  You Are.  And It Gets Worse From There

The left threw violent anti-immigration protests in seven different areas of Los Angeles beginning on Friday, and you'll never guess who paid for it.
If you guessed "you," you are right.

Not only are taxpayers paying for the initial ICE raids, which netted 44 illegal aliens, but we're paying for the police, sheriff's deputies, enhanced California Highway Patrol, and the federal response to the violent protests against the ICE raids, too.  But that's only the half of it.

Most Americans are only too willing to pay for law enforcement, but it turns out that you're also paying for the L.A. immigration protesters, too!  But that's not the worst of it, so you'll just have to keep on reading.  [...]

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I suspect a lot of the more leftist GFOs (government funded organizations) that were receiving funds from USAID are still sitting on savings and doling it out to these extremist leftist groups that love to cover their faces.

EDIT:  I guess I should read the article before I comment, but hey, it is obvious.  :)

You have nobody to blame but Trump. Neither the mayor nor the governor requested their presence. Should have let California deal with their own problems. I'd rather my money stay spent in my own state of Nevada, but nonetheless federal tax money from Nevada will inevitably be used to fund this.

Between this and Trump's vanity parade, this is going to be over $250m, and that is if none of the streets and infrastructure in D.C. is damaged.

I just watched that Moron Newsome and some Dem Congressman clapping on about Natl Guard soldiers sleeping on the floor.

No soldier ever would think sleeping in a climate controlled building, in your sleeping bag with a roof over your head is a bad thing..

Also said they have no water or food. I can promise that is B.S. They may be on MRE for a few days and I can promise they have access to water.

Peaceful protest.  Lol

How do these idiots not get called out on these lies.

You do realize Trump has every legal right to call up the guard and put them on federal orders. It also has a lot of precedent. Newsome sounds like George Wallace complaining about JFK calling up the guard. It's been done many times in the past.

I didn't see Trump burning any cars, or trying to murder law enforcement personnel.  Maxine Waters said "There is no violence".  Waters, Newsome, and Bass are simply crazed by their TDS and their support for open, lawless borders.  These people are endangering law enforcement personnel, citizens and lawful residents by their inaction.  I just hope enough California voters finally wake up and toss these people out on their ears.

President Trump has an obligation to protect federal resources when incompetent governors won't.
